I went to the salon that I normally get my hair styled at-- Eddie Caruso Hair Salon. I had a trial prior to the day of, and I was very happy with the final product of their work. They had a bunch of different stylists working on all of the wedding party. Most of my bridesmaid's brought in photos of the styles they wanted, and the stylists did exactly what they asked!

My bridal shower was held for me at a Portillo's branded restaurant, Luigi's House in Aurora. My bridesmaid’s decorated the restaurant- it looked so cute! We had no complaints. The staff even helped to pack up the gifts at the end. All the guests had drinks in hand the entire party. We had a pasta meal served-- the food was great! The restaurant did a nice job of taking care of us.

Sounds Abound of Naperville was our wedding DJ. Our DJ was very friendly and professional. He played the exact music that we wanted! The owner of Sounds Abound, Ken, also created a photo montage for additional reception entertainment. Everyone loved it! This company was very professional- great communication and follow through.

A cousin of a friend of mine started an online company for Save-the-Date magnets: Magnetland. We did a photomagnet-- it turned out so cute! They did a beautiful, creative job with designing our notice. We were very pleased with the product!

Our wedding was in 2007, before AfterHours changed hands to Men's Wearhouse, so I'm not sure if the staff there is the same or not. We were very disappointed with our rentals from this location. There were a number of size and color errors that inflicted our wedding party order. We were very disappointed. For example, one groomsmen's shoes were the wrong size, 3 of the groomsmen's handkerchiefs (that they paid extra for) were white instead of burgandy-- so NONE of them could use them, and one groomsmen's shirt was too small. Our experience with this location was a bummer.

We hired Shamrock Garden for our wedding flowers. The flowers were beautiful, but not exactly what I had in my mind when I place my order. It was a smidge disappointing, and not to mention, pricey. It is possible the florist interpreted what I wanted in her own way, but it seemed apparent to both me and my bridesmaid (who came with me when I placed my order) that she kind of went off on her own. They were also late to pick up the flowers from the ceremony site to transfer them to the reception. My mom had started loading them up in her van, when they arrived to transport the flowers.

I went to The Crystal Bride for both my bridal and bridesmaid's gowns. Rebecca was my bridal consultant. The staff was very nice. I tried on a number of gowns, and had excellent service throughout my shopping experience. They even recommended an excellent seamstress (outside of the business). Great, personal service-- everything turned out beautifully!

I would give Marie's Catering 5+ stars if I could! Ericka, from Marie's, was our coordinator and she was absolutely outstanding! Not only was she excellent at coordinating the event and following up, but she was also very personable. Also-- there was NO sales pressure, we didn't feel like they were trying to upsell us on every aspect of the meal. Ericka made my entire event perfect. I actually still keep in touch with her. We just had a baby, and we were actually considering naming our baby after her! Anyhow, as for the meal, we did a chicken and steak combo. Marie's also did our wedding cake. We were beyond satisfied with Ericka and Marie's catering-- we highly recommend!

My wedding was in October of 2007, and I may be the only bride in history that has not gotten her wedding album put together yet-- I'm so embarrassed, but I just had a baby. Our wedding day photographer was David from Picture Perfect. He arrived on time, and we had a very pleasant experience with him throughout the day. It was very hot the day of the wedding, but we all suffered through the heat and shot plenty of indoor and outdoor photos. David was pretty much invisible, unobtrusive during the ceremony, but he captured great candids during the reception. We also hired our videography through Picture Perfect. Overall, we had an excellent, straightforward experience with Picture Perfect.

Our reception site, the Danada House, is a beautiful old country mansion in Wheaton. It has a very cool glass atrium. The atrium has an outdoor "feel" with the benefit of a temperature controlled/covered environment. The coordinator of the site was always available to answer my questions. It truly is a beautiful reception site. We rented the house and land only, and brought in the rest of our vendors for catering, etc.- but we were happy with this arrangement.
