FANTASTIC VIDEO, SO HAPPY WITH IT - HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM!
We got married at the end of August and had booked Jeremy because of the fantastic reviews we saw on Project Wedding. He did an amazing job of capturing everything day of without being obtrusive, the footage we got back was incredibly well edited to the things that were very touching, funny, and reflected the personality of the person being videoed. Somehow Jeremy managed to get to know my husband and I well enough to include all the things we would find funny in the video, it's uncanny. The music montage is a must have - I originally thought to have just 1 song, we ended up with a 4 song montage, and it is our favorite thing!! Jeremy himself is great to work with, very responsive, professional, and very nice guy. He is worth every penny and more.
If he's available, you should book him!
IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR COMPLIMENTS ON HOW YOU LOOK - BOOK ELAINE
I just got married and used Elaine plus team for my hair and make-up, MOH's hair and make-up, my sister's hair and make-up, and make-up for my 2 other bridesmaids and mom. I'm sure on every bride's wedding day, she gets showered with compliments...but seriously everyone said my hair and make-up was amazing and I looked beautiful etc. I'm not much of a make-up person, so I felt like a drag queen. But have to admit the proofs I've gotten back, wow better than I've ever looked. And so does everyone in my wedding party! I'm a bit of a privacy freak, so there are no pics of my face. But check out my hair in my pics. I was so happy with the results Elaine created!
Highly recommend the venue, great location and helpful staff!
Altadena Town and Country Club was a beautiful location to get married. The South Lawn area was a beautiful quad enclosed with shrubbery that provided a lovely but intimate venue for the ceremony. The Club has many pretty corridors and rooms to be photographed in. We moved to the woody Medicino Room for cocktails. While my husband and I didn't get a chance to taste (taking pics), everyone said they were delicious (we added 4 extra appetizers to the 3 that come with the wedding package). We had our reception in the yellow colored Victoria room. It has a beautiful bay window with a view of the mountains and on a summer evening the view was amazing. We chose the Chivari chairs and upgraded the linens, the room was gorgeous. The food was great, we chose the filet and shrimp combo and everyone I talked to thought it was yummy.
Sandy and Elvia who work at the Club are very nice and professional. They really worked with us to think through things and made great vendor recommendations. Their best recommendation was Helen at A Timeless Occasion for day-of coordination (please see my review on A Timeless Occasion). It got to a point where they were convincing us not to add anymore appetizers. We ended up getting a refund from our bar deposit.
Fiddlestix sounded great at my wedding and Marg (who is the group contact) has to be one of the nicest people ever. I was so pleased with how responsive she was during the entire process. I knew exactly what I wanted played (just a few pieces from my fave operas and ballets) at my wedding and Marg made recommendations on the order that I didn't even think of. I was so pleased with them, they just sounded so good during the ceremony and at cocktail hour. Don't hesitate, book them if they're available.

Eddie and his team were absolutely incredible. The flowers were stunning, I could not have been happier with the bouquets, corsages/bouts, and the ceremony area decorations. And the centerpieces, they were amazing, everyone (including my very discerning mother-in-law) was very complimentary. They even added flowers to my cake, which turned out so beautifully. Eddie has a good eye and makes a lot of good recommendations. And even though my husband and I weren't too concerned about costs, Eddie always tried to minimize it for us. The flowers turned out to be an absolutely bargain. So for great service and gorgeous flowers at a steal, don't go anywhere else!

Signed-up for day of coordination - although Timeless Occasion offers many other services. Helen, the owner of the business, came highly recommended by my venue and she's great. Very detail oriented and really nice, I feel confident that she will have things under control on my wedding day. Thus far, I think her itinerary is very good and she's been helpful thinking through the details. If I had one constructive piece of feedback - I would say she needs to better set expectations on when she'll get back to you. She's so busy it takes her awhile to get back to you with revised itineraries etc.
Post wedding update - Helen did an excellent job day of my wedding and the days leading up to the wedding. 2 days prior, I had to cut an entire table (due to no shows from parent's friends), she totally dealt with negotiating with the site to re-apply the funds to other things (e.g., corkage)and modified the placecards. On the day itself, she had everything runing smoothly from the string quartet to the caterers to the photographer. All the wendors were perfectly organized and neither I nor my husband had to worry about a thing. It was fantastic! My husband and I agree that this was the best money spent.

I only went to David's Bridal because I was at the nearby IKEA and saw the store from the freeway. I thought why not, I had a seen a gown in a bridal mag from their Galina collection that I liked. Let me just say it is not the same high end experience that the fancy boutiques give you. It's more like a gown warehouse and many were pretty yucky.
However, I had a really funny and service oriented sales associate help me. We quickly found the gown I saw in the bridal mag and I picked out a few more super simple gowns. Four or five gowns in, I finally tried on THE GOWN. It is a heavy ivory satin strapless dress, with a slight sweetheart neck, trumpet skirt, and small train. I added a cummerbund style obi-sash in same ivory color as the gown. It fit perfectly and looked way more expensive than it was.
I bought it right there and then. I got the elegant, simple, and tasteful gown I was dreaming of at 1/10th the price I was prepared to pay. WOW!! I had been to a few fancy boutiques and tried dresses on. If you're looking for high design you won't find it at David's. But for a simple gown like mine, it was so similar in every dimension (fabric quality, fit, etc.) to other dresses I had tried on for 10-15x the price, I could not walk away.

Yummy + Good Value + Pretty
At the wedding the cake was super yummy. We had a yellow layer with fresh strawberries, chocolate with chocolate mousse layers, and a mocha with mocha mousse layer. We went with the buttercream frosting, not the fondant (not yummy) or whipped cream (melts if displayed for too long). Look at my picks to see what it looked like. The bakery only had to frost the cake in a pale yellow, my florist decorated the cake.
Diamond Bakery is a Chinese chain that is fairly well known. For our tasting, I was pleasantly surprised by how professional the girls in Monterey Park were. They booked an appointment on a busy Saturday only 2 days in advance and went through my options extensively. They have a good selection. There are over 10 cake layer flavors, over 15 fillings, and the standard fondant, buttercream, whipped cream frostings. They're really inexpensive. I also ordered supplementary petit fours for the dessert table and favors, they're only $0.50-$0.70 each. And the cakes taste really good, it's a lighter cake than the traditionally Western style.
