Cara Dee is magnificent! She spent time with me before the wedding to make sure I would be able to get the shots I wanted. She is also very easy to contact through e-mail, so I was able to let her know of some last minute things or just more picture ideas that way. The day of the wedding she showed up at the salon at 9am (our wedding wasn't until 5pm) and began taking pictures. She followed us to the church and continued taking pictures, completely unnoticed. She was with us until 10:30pm (end of the reception). My parents absolutely loved her! Mom told her several poses that she wanted and Cara Dee made sure to get all of them. She is so creative... We have such wonderful wedding pictures, I really couldn't be happier with them!

We walked into Geno's and asked if the carried Alfred Angelo, they told us they did and we would be able to match exactly the color of the girl's bridesmaids dresses. We even showed them a color swatch to make sure they would match, it seemed like no problem. The day before the wedding the boys went in to pick up their tuxes. They brought them home and I wanted to double check the color... they had given us orange vests... the color I had asked for was persimmon (which is a tricky color to match, hence the reason I asked if they could match it). Orange would have looked awful with the dresses and I was very disappointed. We called and were able to switch the color to black (which is not what I wanted but I didn't trust them to use the right color the second time around). They were not apologetic and made it seem like it was more my fault for choosing a difficult color... I'm glad they were able to correct the problem but I definitely would not use them again.

We arranged our honeymoon with this travel agency. We walked in and were unsure of what we were looking for but we told them our budget and they immediately starting giving us all-inclusive resorts that were in our price range! Our budget was around $1500 - 2000 so we weren't sure what we could get. We found a resort in Ocho Rios, Jamaica that was all-inclusive and we had an ocean view suite... that was in our budget! The travel agency mailed us our plane tickets and we noticed that on one of them they had switched our seats so that we would be sitting next to one another. They were such a huge help with our honeymoon... I'm so glad we used a travel agent... it made everything so much smoother when we arrived in Jamaica.

Planet Salon is a wonderful salon. I ended up looking for a hair stylist about 3 weeks before the wedding. I called this salon for prices, it was supposed to be $55 for an updo... I thought that was reasonable so I made my appointment, as well as 2 more for a few of my bridesmaids. On the day of the wedding we walked in and they were ready for us, a bridesmaid came with us who did not have an appointment, and they were able to schedule one for her as well. It took about an hour and a half to finish my hair... Crystal took her time and it looked beautiful! My only complaint was that the price ended up being $88... quite a bit more than the price I was quoted. I do have a lot of hair and even when I get my hair cut the prices tend to be raised, so I wasn't really surprised that I was charged more, I just wish that on the phone they told me prices start at $55.

We had a problem with a band and so we found out we actually needed a DJ the week of our wedding. Kyle was recommended through a friend of ours and so we called him up. It was extremely late notice... but he found time to meet with us. He was great to work with. We gave him a list of songs that we wanted/did not want played at the reception and I think he took our tastes into consideration with the songs he did play. He didn't talk much at the reception (which was an important quality we were looking for). He helped the flow of the reception and gave more of an order to everything than if we hadn't used him. He was wonderful!

We gave Steve a song with two acoustic guitars and asked him to turn it into a piano piece for me to walk down the aisle to. He did such a great job! We had him play three songs on the piano and he sang with one of them. He has such a beautiful voice! Everything we asked of him he did a wonderful job with!

The church is very modern and we we nervous about how to decorate the inside. We are very involved in this particular church, though, so we knew that is where we wanted to get married. We were able to borrow lots of decorations and candles and things from around the church and it was absolutely beautiful! A lot of people from the church helped us get the room ready... everything about it was just a really great experience!

The hotel is beautiful! They require you to use their catering service and spend a certain amount to rent a room. The food and budget minimum seemed very reasonably priced, which is the reason we chose this location. However, when we got the bill - it was nearly $1,000 over the amount we had agreed on. Even though we ordered the minimum amount, which the coordinator told us there would be plenty of food. However, on the day before the wedding she met with my mother to tell her we actually needed three times the amount of food we had ordered. But there were so many extra taxes and service charges tacked onto the end... it didn't end up being a good deal after all! The food was good and the event coordinator is very friendly. Also, we gave the front desk bags to hand out to our guests when the checked in... My mother in law never received her bag and my grandparents received a bag for someone elses wedding... not very organized.

Very friendly! They let you have a cake tasting for free if you decide to get your cake from their bakery. The cakes are delicious! We ordered a four tier cake and it was very reasonably priced. The cake was beautiful - exactly what I had asked for! And on your one year anniversary, they give you a replica of the top of your cake - with the same decorations and everything that was used for your actual wedding cake.

Some of the ladies who work at the desk are not very friendly, but if you ask for what you need specifically they are very helpful. I wish they would have stayed in contact with me a little better. They never called to tell me my wedding dress had arrived and they also did not notify me when any of my bridesmaids dresses came in, I had to contact them... only to find out that all of the dresses had been waiting in the store for me. Also, it took everything at least four months to ship... which seemed a little long compared to some other shops.
