I bought my wedding dress and my bridsmaid dresses here. My dress and the skirt thing that goes underneath was $630.00 (with tax). I do have to have some alterations done and I haven't gotten them done yet as I still have 7 months to go but I was told that alterations start at $20. I don't need the dress hemmed; just taken in a bit in the bodice so I am not expecting to pay anymore that $50 more dollars. I went to 2 different Davids Bridals on 2 different occasions. I had good service at both. The first place squeezed me in at the last moment (I drove an hour and didn't realize that I needed to make an appointment) and the woman who helped me was perfect for me...she helped me into my dresses and then let my friend and me have some time without her hovering (I hate people who hover). The second time I went I only wanted to try on the dress I liked the best at the first store. They didn't have the exact one but got one very similar so I could decide what size I needed to order. These people hung around a bit more but since I had already made my decision on the dress and I was only trying on a couple different sizes it wasn't so bad. I placed the order for my dress and it was supposed to take 2-3 months to get it in. They called me the next week and told me it had arrived! Pretty cool! I got the bridesmaid dresses off Davids Bridal.com and they cost $75 (with taxes and shipping). My girls were so happy!

Exceptional customer service! Roy Wellwood was extremely nice and gave me the best deal for what I wanted. All I needed was a pick up in Ann Arbor, MI and drop off in Hartland, MI...a half hour drive...for 5-6 people. I didn't want anything fancy or extravagant. I didn't need the "Just Married" sign as it was just to drive me and my girls to the wedding location and I didn't really care if there was champagne or not. Once I told him all this he said that he charges a flat one-way fee of $150.00 and that he would be using his own 13 passenger stretch Excursion. Wonderful woman! Extremely nice and has lots of experience with marrying couples. She has a package of documents that she sends to you that are full of readings and vows, ect that you can choose from. You can also write your own ceremony but it was awesome for me as I wanted something simple and short as children are also invited to the festivities. It was great - I read through the choices for each part of the wedding (opening words, prayers, readings, family blessings, unity candle readings, vows, and exchange of rings readings), selected what I wanted and then we met and we put it all together in about 45 minutes. She requires half her price at this time and the other half the day before the wedding. She shows up an hour before the wedding. She does not require couple counseling but does offer the service. The $320 does not include her showing up to the rehearsal night but she has a document that she sends you that will walk you through what she would do if she was to be at the rehearsal. She charges $125 to come to the rehearsal.

I was able to rent a horse and carriage that will drive my dad and I up to the ceremony and then take my groom and I away for a ride after the ceremony. The horse is a white draft horse and the carriage is also white with padded seats. After our ride we will be able to get pictures taken and then any extra time can be used giving guests little rides as well. The price gives you 2 hours. If you want additional time, it is $100 per half hour.

There website is not very informative and contains the wrong address. I happen to get a hold of the lady the first time I called but was not ready to put a deposit down. When I tried to call back a week later, there was no answer and the answering machine gave no hint that she had gone on vacation for 2 1/2 weeks. So I spent 2 weeks calling and leaving messages and even emailing with no answer. I finally called Waldenwoods (my ceremony and reception site who gave me this businesses information) and she was able to get a hold of the lady. Then the lady emailed me back and gave me a different number to call her on the next day after 1pm. However I wasn't able to call for a couple days and there was no answer on the second number either. The message I left was not returned either. I finally got a hold of her again when she got back from vacation and she was very nice. It would have not been too hard to change the answering machine to let any customers know that she would be out of town from this date to this date.

Beautiful location in Hartland, MI. Cromaine Lodge is where the reception is held. Large room (can accommodate up to 250 people I believe) with 3 large fireplaces, ample dance floor area. Lots of wood detail. Bathrooms on main floor and second floor. Has a large bridal party dressing room for an additional price, includes a lunch and can have access to room at 10:00am day of wedding. Windows cover one whole side of room, with 3 double doors in the middle that lead out to a lawn where the outdoor ceremony can be held in front of the lake. Indoor ceremony is held in the Cromaine Lodge as well if weather doesn't permit an outdoor one. Ceremony on site is $300 to $800 depending on whether it's indoors or outdoors. This price includes a rehearsal time the Thursday before the wedding. There are 4 packages you can choose for your reception. All packages include 6 hours of room rental/4 ½ hours bar service, 2 hot & 2 cold hors d’ oeuvres, 2 entrée buffet or 1 entrée plated dinner, formal white or ivory table linen, coffee and tea service, and all cake cutting and carving fees. Lowest package is $55/person and is the non-alcoholic option, serving juice and soda. Next package is $64/person and is the beer and wine option, also serves juice and soda. Next is $70/person and has beer, wine, house liquor package and head table champagne toast as well as the juice and soda. The highest is $76/person and has beer, wine, permium liquor package and champagne toast for all guests as well as juice and soda. Children have lower prices - under 5 are free, 5-12 are $25/child, and 12-20 are $55/child. Deposits required – 25% when booking, 25% 6 months prior to event. Additional payment plans available.
All deposits are non-refundable. Final payments are due 48 hours before event (No personal checks accepted). Final payments must be made by certified check, cashier’s check, Visa, MasterCard or Discover.

There are minimum numbers of guests that are required but I fell very short of that number and the manager was very nice and dropped the minimum number of people from 175 to 100 for me. These people are extremely nice and will do anything to make your day special.

Another option is to rent a horse and carriage that will take the bride and the person giving the bride away up to the ceremony and then take the bride and groom on a little ride after the ceremony.
