I am ordering envelopes and text paper for my wedding invitations and programs from this site. They are fantastic. Orders are processed very quickly and the papers are high quality and beautiful. They are also probably the cheapest vendor I found overall, and I have lost count of how many sites I looked at. This is partly because all orders over $15 ship at a very low flat rate for regular ground shipping.

Paper and More has a huge selection as far as types of papers, sizes of envelopes, and even types of vellum. They do not have as big of a color selection as I would have liked (I had to get some card stock from another vendor to get the right color), but they have what I would call "basic" colors. Not every kind of paper comes in every color or envelope size, which is a bit of a minus, but other than the card stock color, they had exactly what I needed. I am giving them 5 stars because my wedding has a tight budget and Paper and More is allowing me to stick to it.

I had a really good experience with David's Bridal. They were very professional and my consultant was friendly and not pushy, and she seemed to get a good idea of what I wanted. In fact, the dress I ended up choosing was one that she picked out, although I had saved it to my favorites on their website. It is all-over lace, which at any other retailer would have been an exorbitant price, but I got it for $100 off the original price, which was not very expensive to begin with (comparatively). I also bought my veil, jewelry, slip, and flowers for my hair at the same time.

When I went in for my appointment, they took my contact information, asked me about my wedding and the style of dress I envisioned, and had me look around and pull dresses that I liked. All the gowns were kept in clear garment bags so they were in very good shape. Also, my consultant provided me with a slip and corset to wear underneath while I was trying dresses on, which was really nice.

I had my alterations done at DB as well, and that went completely smoothly. The dress arrived sooner than anticipated, and I received an email to tell me it had come in. It fit nicely when it came in and only had to be taken in a little; they also did a beautiful bustle on the train. When I came in for my second fitting, everything was perfect, and when I took the dress home the seamstress packed it very nicely on a mannican bust so that it will retain its shape. Since I bought my dress so early, they are letting me bring it back just before my wedding for a complimentary steam, instead of steaming it before I took it home. The whole process, from choosing my dress to taking it home, took about 2 months I think.

I am not a fan of DB's return policy. You can exchange things for items of equal value, but you can't get any money back once you buy something. I have also heard that you cannot exchange a wedding dress, but I didn't try myself so I don't know what the policy on that is.

DB has their own line of credit which includes 12 months of no payments and no interest, so I can pay my dress off without having to pay any interest, which is great. Application did not take very long and the amount I was approved for allowed me to make my entire purchase with the credit card.

I love my dress and I had a really great time trying on all the gowns at DB. I would go there again in a heartbeat.

I looked all over the Internet for card stock for my invitation backings in a very specific shade of blue. Most of the websites I looked at had very limited color selection, were very expensive, or sold the paper in much higher quantities than what I needed.

Finally I found Cards and Pockets, and they had a really good selection of colors, and shipping was free for ordering sample swatches (they aren't full sheets) of their card stock. I was very excited to find almost an exact match of the color I'm looking for, so I'm going with it. I loved that C&P has a color chart, and the colors are pretty close to what they really look like. Persian Blue and Something Blue are a little more gray than they appear, Turquoise and Tiffany a little more green, and Caribbean a little more aqua, but I think you get a pretty good impression of what the color actually is by looking at the chart.

The prices are cheap, but shipping is quite expensive. Since I am getting the rest of my invitation papers and envelopes from another vendor, my shipping cost is almost the same price as the paper. If all my invitation resources came from C&P the shipping would be a little more proportionate; however, they do not seem to have text paper (only card stock and vellum) and they do not have a very large selection of envelope sizes.

I recommend Cards and Pockets if you are trying to match a certain color or if you do not have a huge order, since you can order everything in quantities of 25 and, in some cases, specific numbers. However, if your invitations are a unique size, you will probably need to find envelopes elsewhere, and if you want something other than card stock and vellum, you won't find it here (or else I just haven't found it yet).
