I really love these fall bouquet for the bridesmaids made out of callas, roses and hypericum berries on the right. I also really love chocolate sunflowers.
We will spend 8 days and 7 nights at the Dreams Resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. We booked the honeymoon suite which has an ocean view, with a private terrace that contains our own personal jacuzzi!
The honeymoon package includes a tension release massage for 2; another spa treatment for 2 of our choice; a private dinner on the beach one night followed by a hand-drawn candlelit rose petal bath (complete with wine!); champagne breakfasts in bed; and fresh flowers and exotic fruit baskets! wow-this will be wildly romantic!!
There's also going to be a ton of fun stuff to do-with a full size casino, a full service spa, 10 restaurants, and a discoteque, it is sure to be entertaining!
There's an amazing virtual tour on the following site:
Our rehearsal dinner will take place at Oliverio's Ristorante in Bridgeport WV, which is a fantastic italian restaurant that has been in business in my hometown for over 40 years! My parents had one of their very first dates there, and, coincidentally it was where JR & I had our very first date back in March of 2004! I'm so excited to have everyone there together to enjoy the wonderful food and delicioso vino!
This is a really small scale example...I am using it as inspiration for my own invites that are being designed by one of my bridesmaids, Casey Combs McGuire, who is a very talented graphic designer in Wilmington, NC. I love how you can see the names through the transparent paper.
I bought these two beautiful chandeliers at Illuminations.com (which are about about 3 feet wide and 3 feet tall) to hang at the ceremony...they each are adorned with glass berries and have 6 candleholders in each one~I plan on using the LED lights to create the genuine glow of real candles... the green strand of flowers shown in the pic are not a part of the chandelier, but were placed there for advertisement purposes...I will not be using them at the wedding.
One of my centerpieces will be hollowed out pumpkins with our monogram carved into them and tea lights placed inside
My other cernterpiece will be vases made out of mini pumpkins filled with some of my wedding flowers...I don't have a pic yet of the finished product...
I will have 4 curly willow trees potted and wrapped in white lights throughout the reception. I am hoping to create a very low lit, warm ambiance.
The favors will be tiny mason jars filled with homemade apple butter like these...yum!
