I love my ring! It's exactly what I wanted... couldn't be happier :). My fiance apparently looked at over 20 stones and took 3 months before finding "the one". The center stone is a round brilliant cut, surrounded by a pave halo, on a thin pave band.

Some of the things we've already made a decision on!

Wedding Planner: Alicia by Alicia K Designs

Venue: Beaulieu Garden (ceremony + reception)
Caterer: Paula le Duc
Lighting: Got Light
Rentals: Classic Party Rental
(these are exclusive to the venue)

Checklist photo 1

Dress: Kenneth Pool "Royalty" dress (Spring 2010)

This was the first dress I tried on! My gf's and I went 1 wk after the engagement, and I fell in love. Of course, due to my compulsive behavior, I tried on about 30 dresses after that (at different boutiques, too), but decided this one was it!

Shoes: Barney's Co-op "Juli"

Checklist photo 3

Photographer: Yvonne Wong Photographer (flying her in from Seattle!)

I found her on Style Me Pretty about 2 wks after the engagement, and I fell in love with her work. When I see her pictures, I feel the emotions she captures so perfectly, and I always feel like I'm there in the moment! I have probably seen a good 50 other photographers' work but decided I couldn't not have Yvonne, even if it meant flying her to CA! :)

Videographer: Aria Studios (flying them in from the Aloha state!)

Aria Studios filmed one of my best friend's wedding in Hawaii last year. They did such an amazing job that I watched their SDE over 50 times after it was posted on Vimeo. And each time I cried! I tried looking for another vendor in SF (even in LA) who matched their style - which is contemporary, fun, and full of emotion (their style takes after Still Motion of Canada) - but could NOT! Ultimately, we decided we had to fly them in and use them. They are awesome.

DJ: Ryan Li

Recommended by a friend - he's been so easy to work with and very professional.

Officiant: Michael Ireland

We had no idea where to find an officiant, but our planner recommended Mike. We spoke with him over the phone once, and we knew he was the one! So incredibly kind and gracious, I wanted to hug him over the phone! (He's also performing the Christening of our planner's baby daughter)

Hi! Very excited to join PW. Love the site, it's been a great help and it's nice to have a community of brides to share information with! :)

My fiance and I got engaged over Halloween wknd - definitely a surprise! It was also his birthday weekend, and he had planned a casual get together with our friends. Ultimately, he surprised with a proposal, and our friends showed up after and helped us celebrate :)

We met through business school in NYC and still live out here, but we are both from the Bay Area. We decided on Napa for our wedding because we love the wine country, and it's close for our SF friends and family, but a great destination for our LA, NYC and out of the country friends.
