After so many hours spent planning my own wedding, and helping other brides here on PW, I've come to the realization that I need this in my life :)
I became a Certified Wedding Planner and a member of the Association of Bridal Consultants in March 2012, and look forward to helping many couples create their dream weddings.
Thank you ladies for being such an inspiration! You helped me find my dream job.
I was absolutely surprised and honored to be chosen for Bio of the Week on 12/16/2011. PW helped my wedding to be what it was, and I could not be more grateful. I hope that some of what I've done can serve as inspiration to others, so that I may pay it forward.
On 10/25/10 I got one of the best emails in my inbox - I was selected to be a Project Wedding Hostess! I had an amazing year as a part of the hostess team, and while I was sad to finally turn in my pink heart, it's all for a good reason.
I plan to start my own wedding and event planning business in 2012, and cannot wait to help future brides plan the weddings of their dreams!
A first look isn't for everyone, but for us, it was perfect. It was this great opportunity for us to connect before all of the craziness of the wedding (we didn't have another moment alone until dinner, and that barely counts), and with the stress my poor hubs was going through, it was needed. And I mean, just look at his cry face! Priceless! And I got to see that beautiful cry face all over again during our ceremony, too :)
We did our first look at a park we used to visit all the time with our dogs. It just so happens that I used to dream about getting married at this spot, or at least getting engaged here. It's a place that was already such a big part of our history, now it is more so.

We've got our rehearsal dinner spot picked out, and I'm so excited for a chance to use all the burlap inspiration for something since I can't use it for the wedding.
Here's the space we've reserved:
We'll be joining the tables together to make to long banquet tables, nixing the glass tops, and adding some nice rustic charm with burlap and mason jars...at least that's the plan!
Here's my inspiration (thanks, ChancesAre!):
And here's the reality:
