How We Met:Wow............we met in high school, x-*~_ years ago (LOL). We were good friends but lost touch after graduation. With the wonderful discovery of Facebook (thank you Cecily!!), I was able to get in touch with old friends from school. One of those friends mentioned that my future boo also lived in Las Vegas. After re-connecting early this year, the friendship was rekindled. When my parents (abruptly) divorced, my future readily agreed to help me move my Dad to his new home. My entire friends and family adored him. Not surprising since he was the always sweet and charismatic prom king! I was "just" a princess, LOL. He used to date my friend in high school and I used to date his friend. Being 15, it made it easy for all of us to remain friends even after the breakups. For months, everyone (including his ex girlfriend!) encouraged me to take a look at him. No way was I going down that road. But God had other plans. During my Dad's surprise birthday party, Cupid struck him -- but I had no idea. A day later, cupid struck me -- but he had no idea. Like the school kids shyly looking down as they inch ever so closer to each other............we both started to see each other in a different light. Before me, I saw the one man who encompassed all that a woman desire's in her heart. He posesses the passion, joy, integrity, spirituality, humor, honor and humility that every girl dreams about. When your own father wants you to date him, that's a great man there!
How We Got Engaged:My sweetheart stopped by my apartment for dinner. On the way he picked up a dozen of beautiful pink roses. Not unusual since he'd brought me flowers before. But then came a dozen beautiful tangerine roses. Then a dozen beautiful red roses. Wow! We went upstairs and I retrieved a vase for the flowers. When I turned around, I discovered my beloved on bended knee, presenting me with a beautiful engagement ring that would symbolize the start of a wonderful journey. Naturally, I said yes!
