Right now the only thing I have for sale is a pair of beautiful Guess shoes! Purple and size 5. The style is Holbrook if you are looking on the Guess website. I bought them for our e-pics and worn them for all of an hour and they show absolutely no signs of wear. They are a little big on me so I know I won't wear them again, even though they are sooooo pretty. I figure I'd try to pass them along to another bride with small feet!! I'm asking $60 including shipping (OBO). Don't let these beauties just sit in my closet!! Sold!
I have a beautiful bcbg MaxAzria dress for sale. It is brand new with the tags still attached. It is a 0 (see bcbg size chart) and roughly 52.5 inches from center back to bottom seam. It is brown with gold/bronze beading around the bust. The pics don't do it justice! I originally bought it for a wedding but didn't have time to get it altered so I didn't wear it. Retails for $400. Selling for $125 including shipping within US (OBO).
I am soooo excited that we have booked our photographer :)
We decieded to go with Bella Terra Photography. If you happen to be in the Central New York area (which not many PW ladies are sigh) check them out! They are also willing to travel!
It is a young couple who are so very artistic and have a great eye for photography. We had our first meeting with them and before I knew it we had been there for almost 2 hours! It was so easy to talk to them and I felt like they knew exactly what I was looking for even though I was having a hard time expressing my vision! I can't wait to have our engagement pics taken in a few months.
We have finally picked our venue..which means we also have our date finally!!!!! Oct. 8, 2011 will be the big day.
We ended up going with The Greystone Castle in Canastota, NY. It is so nice inside and it is a little different from most of the venues that are in our area. It was one of the first places I discovered in my search for the venue and I almost decided not to even look at it. Thankfully I made that appointment anyway!!! I will post pics of the inside later tonight :)
My FI and I have decided to go with 7 on each side for the wedding party. The number started at 5 and then finally grew to 7. I initially didn't want that many but it made it easier in the end because I didn't have to choose between my 2 friends bc I am able to have them both! I wanted a creative way to ask them and knew that I would be sending a card because no one is really local. A few I am delivering in person, but the others I am mailing. I am taking inspiration from the photo below by Anna of Rifle Design and making a paper doll chain to go along with the card. Here are the detailed instructions if you are interested. I have made one so far and it took me forever because I am not that artistic, but I commited to it so I have to finish them. It was for my FI's sister and she absolutely loved it. She was so happy that I asked her and couldn't get over how cute the card was :) I like this idea because it introduces the girls to each other (at least their names) since some of them haven't met before. I will post a photo of mine once I have more completed. Let's hope the rest of the girls say yes!
UPDATE: Ok so I have finished all of my paper doll cards and it took me forever but I am pretty happy with how they came out. Like I said before I'm not very artisitc so mine don't look quite as nice as the ones above. I have given 3 out and they loved them so I'm sure the other girls will too. One DIY project down...a ton more to go!
At this point we are trying to decide colors/theme of the wedding. We want the ceremony to take place later in the afternoon and have the reception at night. We have discussed having a traditional black and white wedding with a few pops of color.
After going back and forth a million times, we have decided to stick with mostly black and white and add in a very pale blue. I don't want Tiffany blue and I don't want a baby blue so it may be tricky to find the perfect shade but I'm sure it will work out. I am also thinking about jumping on the damask bandwagon (just a little) because I want some patterns incorporated into the decor. This combo feels "right" and I feel confident that I can start making some more concrete decisions bc I don't think I'll keep changing my mind! That's a great feeling!!!
I have officially been engaged for all of one week! We are so excited to get started on all of the planning. We are trying to firm up a date but expecting the big day to be Sept-Oct. 2011 which leaves us loads of time to plan. We want our day to be classy and romantic. I really want to be able to do most of the planning without the help of a wedding planner so any advice/tips from fellow DIYers would be great!
As I start making some final decisions some of my pages will be "friends only" so feel free to add me so you can see all of my planning!
If any of the photos belong to you please let me know! I would love to give you credit for them :)
