Biagio Events & Catering

We worked with Kim Olney for our catering. Let me first say that this woman does it all...she works seven days a week and is full of passion for what she does. She's a little hard to get in touch with right off the bat, but that's because she gives each event she coordinates her full attention. Once you're working with her, you have absolutely nothing to worry about. We met with Kim for our tasting and immediately knew that we were going to go with Biagio's. She was very personable and wanted to do exactly what we wanted. We had food stations, passed appetizers and open bar. The food stations were amazing...we even had a Chicago station that came with a real hot dog cart (a REAL hot dog cart!!!) and had Chicago Style mini hot dogs, mini burgers, tomato soup shooters w/a grilled cheese sandwich garnish, mini pizzas and mac'n cheese bites. Our food was all comfort food throughout the rest of the stations as well. Everything was delicious. It was exactly what we wanted. Kim also made the food stations look amazing with beautiful linens and flowers. At the wedding reception, she executed those food stations like a well-oiled machine. We had Biagio's cater our wedding and were floored at the price. We got SO much value for our per-person price. It also included the cake from Rolf's in Lincolnwood. I'll be writing a glowing review for Rolf's as well. Our next caterer gave us a price of over $20 more per person. I don't know how Biagio's does everything that they do for such a great price. I wish I could give Biagio's more stars than 5.

I have seen many pieces that Ayca has created and know that she is very talented; therefore, I knew she'd be the perfect person to design and make a bracelet for my wedding. When I spoke with her, she was very thorough and asked many questions about my style, my wedding, my dress, etc. She was willing to listen to whatever ideas I had and expressed ideas that she had. She asked what my budget was for the bracelet she would be making and made it well under the budget I gave her. She sent me pictures throughout the process to make sure she was on the right track. The bracelet was stunning and was something that was elegant enough for me to wear the day of my wedding yet simple enough for me to wear again and again after my wedding. I would highly recommend anyone go to Ayca for jewelry needs, be it for a wedding or otherwise!

Just Press Play Productions

( 5.0 / 5.0 )
A friend of mine used Just Press Play last year at her wedding, which is where I first heard of Just Press Play. When I booked my date, I immediately contacted Jeff to see if he was available to do my wedding. We booked him for his sound system and MC services. I got to come up with all my own playlists on my ipod and he did the sound system, played the music and MC'd the event. Jeff was a dream to work with...he not only helped us every step of the way (choosing the right number of slow versus fast songs, making sure we had enough music, asking all the right questions about our wedding party, times, etc), but he executed the wedding ceremony and reception with ease. He was very professional throughout. He jumped around on our playlist to ensure that the dance floor was full throughout the reception, which it was. Oh, and the price...you will not find another MC service that is as affordable. His pricing is more than competative and he does a wonderful job. He uses Bose speakers, which have exceptional sound quality. Although I don't plan to have to get married again, I'd love to have another event just so I could work with Jeff again. He's fantastic.
