THE DRESS. This is my mom's dress, and it looks so gorgeous on her! We got it in a plum color, though. It matches nicely with her snow white skin and blue eyes. We found it at Macy's.
THE SHOES. She found her shoes and they match perfectly! She found them at TJMaxx for $16! She's always finding the best deals! Lol.
ACCESSORIES. She found this silver shawl at JCPenney's (I think) for like $6! I think it matches nicely. We are going to pair it with a silver clutch and a silver hair piece (see hair piece below). She got her jewelry from TJMaxx.
THE HAIR. She looked absolutely gorgeous!! Here's her wedding day hair.
THE FINAL LOOK.
SOMETHING OLD. My pearl necklace; I've woren it for every special occassion in my life. And I've had them since I was about 14.
SOMETHING NEW. My dress and probably my earrings and bracelet
SOMETHING BORROWED. I'll be borrowing a handkerchief that my baby sister was given when she was born. It doubles as a baby bonnet (one to take your newborn home in) and a handkerchief (for her to carry on her wedding day). I decided to wrap it around my bouquet.
SOMETHING BLUE. My grandpa was someone very special to me. Let's just say I was "Grandpa's Little Girl." Well, I lost him over 15 years ago and ever since then I've always known he was watching over me. Interestingly enough, it always seemed that I would see owls everywhere (at any time of the day) and usually on very important days for me. Then one day I came across a box that I had when I was a little girl. It had tons of things that my grandpa had given me over the years. One of which was this owl pendant. Soon after that, owl stuff just popped up everywhere, including when I was in Austin (the infamous Owl-looking tower, lol). I knew it had to be him coming back to me to remind me that he loves me and is with me. So, it's only natural that I carry this with me as my "something blue" on my wedding day. I'm thinking of maybe pinning it to my bouquet. I just have to make sure we know where my bouquet is at all times. I don't want to lose it. ((Sounds like a job for my MOHs!! lol)).
UPDATE. So I've decided to add on to my "something blue." My blue undies from Victoria Secret and "Light Blue" perfume by D&G.

Ceremony Shoes. Malibu by Via Spiga (Color: Carrot)
Reception Shoes. My personalized Converse
Necklace. My Pearl Necklace. This is also my "something old. My Godmother and Godfather gave these to me back when I was in middle school, and I've worn them for every big occassion (HS graduation, College Graduation, etc.), so of course, it was only natural I wear them at my wedding.
Bracelet. My future aunt found me my bracelet at Karla's in McAllen. Oh, it's absolutely gorgeous!
Earrings. I just ordered these from Blustarfruit on etsy.com and I am so in love with them!! She makes such wonderful jewelry.
Garter. My first Etsy.com purchase from Lola in Lace! They came in pretty quickly and they are so awesome! Very happy I got them and they aren't tight on my leg like I was worried they might be. I have rather large thighs. Lol.
Perfume. I've decided to go with Dolce & Gabbana - Light Blue as my wedding day scent. It'll also be part of my something blue.
Hair Flower. I found this burnt orange hair flower from EnchantedlyYours on etsy.com and it's absolutely perfect! It doesn't weigh my thin hair down and it's the perfect size.
Veil. I will be doing a cathedral veil and a blusher veil that I purchased at Occassions Bridal when I purchased my wedding gown.
Sweater. I love the way brides look in colorful sweaters! The girls of PW convinced me to look for a burnt orange one. Of course, since I was actually looking for one, I couldn't find it anywhere. But low and behold, after a visit to Target with FI, I found the PERFECT one. And for only $18!
