We got my wedding band from BE. I love love love BE! Their designs are beautiful but, most of all, I chose to pay a slight premium for my ring because of their ethical and eco-friendly philosophy. They use recycled precious metals and ethically-sourced diamonds. Plus, they have great diamond-alternatives like blue and pink sapphires. The packaging is awesome (a wooden ring box). Their showroom in SF isn't very swanky...but since they're mostly based on the net, I could see why they wouldn't worry too much about the space. I'm glad it didn't deter me from buying from them (I'm a little of a control freak so I needed to see the ring in person.) I would highly encourage couples to look into getting their rings at BE (or other shops with a similar philosophy.) Pretty bling doesn't have to be bloody.

This was the perfect venue for our small, city wedding. This is the perfect venue if you don't have a huge guest list and don't want a venue that will dwarf your wedding. We chose this space because of the AMAZING ceremony space and our guests loved it! You get views of the Bay Bridge and Ferry Building. We also had our cocktail hour up there. The staff and coordinator made things flow (mostly) seamlessly during the day. The timing of the set up for the reception room was a little off, but the manager sought to rectify this after-the-fact by waiving the ceremony rental fee, which was much appreciated. The rooms are beautiful. The lobby is chic and modern. And the location can't be beat. You're only steps away to great bridal portraits and first look pics!

The food and beverage minimum is extremely reasonable compared to many other sites in the city. I'd give them 5 stars if they were a little more flexible with pricing (we weren't able to get *any* discount on anything).

EPICALLY AWESOME! Photography was my big priority and I searched high and low for a photographer whose style I loved and whose cost I did not abhor. Margaret and Nathan shot our wedding. Not only were they just awesomely sweet people to have around on our big day, they are also ridiculously talented. We LOVE our photos! Sara, the studio owner, has also been a doll throughout this whole process. My FI met wit her and he was instantly smitten (in a non-romantic way). She made the whole process stress-free and easy, keeping us up-to-date as the big day neared and asking us for details/feedback when needed. She was super responsive to emails and calls. Sara and her associates are brimming with creativity and a love for photography. Margaret has a great eye for interesting backdrops and angles. She is always receptive to feedback and ideas. And she's seriously ridiculously nice. Big thumbs up to all of you & thanks for a great day!

We DIYed our flowers and I was too OCD/control freak to order them in bulk online (I needed to see them in person). Therefore, SF Flower Mart it was! I went at the end of August and the variety of flowers was similar from shop to shop, but I hear that you can get them to order special orders in advance--which I did not have the forethought to do. But I wasn't so picky about the type of flowers I wanted (just wanted something white). The costs are generally cheaper than at retail, and it just saves the hassle to know that you can get everything in one spot (including decorations like arches, columns, ribbon, flora tape, etc). The Mart is basically made up of small shops with individual owners...so the prices aren't uniform. It's a little annoying that all prices aren't clearly marked (I got substantially differently-priced hydrangeas from two vendors), but I still ended up saving money over retail anyway.

We had Daniel as our DJ and he was great! He was down to earth and so easy to deal with. He definitely did all he could to keep the party going. :) He tried to minimize our stress and took the initiative to help us in any way he could. He was particularly helpful in helping us plan our timeline and tweak some of our songs (e.g. first dance). Andrew was also great to deal with regarding all the paperwork. We also got to interact with Lawrence who came out for a site visit to get a lay of the land. Overall, a fantastic team. And would definitely recommend! Their prices are average to below-average, so I'd definitely give them a ring if you're in need of a DJ.
