Josh and I both grew up in a town out side of Los Angeles. To make a long story short, meeting someone from this town was not likely in our book nor did we think it was an appealing option. But low and behold on the new year's eve of 2007 we found our selves both back in our home town at the same party.

My girlfriend at the time was involved with his brother. She told me that I would want to meet Josh because he seemed like someone I might be interested in. However, at that time we were both not interested in a relationship, but I was definetly attracted to him. So sneaky as it sounds, I made sure to stand right by him on the count down to the new year so I could give him a new year's kiss. Josh was taken by surprise when I reached up to kiss him, but must have liked it because he returned that kiss with the best kiss I had ever received. I was right out of an old Hollywood movie! We had tons of fun hanging out that night.... As the new year began Josh was on my thoughts, but like I said I was not interesed in getting involved so as was he.

The next time in we saw each other was, again, due to his brother and my friend. It was in Febuary. We still had a connection and had a great time together. We spoke once after that night, but Josh's job makes him travel quite a bit so we just left it at that.

As March and my birthday approched Noelle, the friend of mine, and I planned to celebrate by going to Mexico for the weekend. She asked if her boyfriend could invite Josh so that he would not be the only guy there. I said sure, but by this time was not interensed in Josh anymore (or so I tried to tell my self)

To my suprise Josh showed up to Mexico with an new attitude. He was very attentive and I would almost say he doted on me. He was so sweet. He opened my doors, made sure I had a drink, he also made sure no other guys got too close... While dancing together he leaned in for a kiss and I pulled back, again trying to convince my self I was not interested. I mainly felt like that because I wasn't really interested in having a fun night with him then going our separate ways. But his charms pulled me in and I returned his kiss shortly after his attempt. Later that night Josh asked if I would like to come with him to VANCOUVER Canada! He was leaving the Monday we got back. I said yes! Crazy.

I did end up going with Josh. We went had the best time together. It was so natural and easy. We couldn't stand to be away from each other for long periods of time after the Vancouver trip. So every other week or so he would end up taking me on his business trips.

It really is the best feeling in the world to have met that person that completes your life. He and I are like two peas in a pod. He makes me a stronger person. And I am definitely his rock as well.

I am so excited to know that he is my partner for life! I can't wait to call him my Husband!

I put together this ceremony myself. I envision a short, sweet and meaningful ceremony. I love the reading by Capatain Corelli's Mandolin, and especially the ring exchange. We are having Josh's uncle preform the ceremony which I feel makes it that much more memorable, and not to mention it saves us money. Hope you like it!

Officiant: Who offers their blessing of the union of this woman to this man?

Dad: Her mother and I do.

Officiant :  Dear Friends and Family, What a magical moment this is. We have come here today to celebrate love and commitment.

Surrounded by the people most  important to them,

Joshua and Vanessa in their love an passion for each other now choose to celebrate their relationship by becoming husband and wife.

Officiant: Joshua And Vanessa, today you are entering into life's most important relationship. This relationship centers not only around your affection for one another, but also companionship and mutual respect. A good marriage brings comfort when there is sorrow, peace when there is unrest, and laughter when there is happiness. Love makes burdens lighter because you divide them. It makes joys more intense because you share them. It makes you stronger so you can become involved with life in ways you dare not risk alone. Real love makes you stronger together than when you are apart.

Janelle would you like to read from Captain Corelli's Mandolin

Mad of honor:

Love is a temporary madness; it erupts like volcanoes and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because this is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of eternal passion. That is just being in love, which any fool can do. Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident. Those that truly love have roots that grow towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossoms have fallen from their branches, they find that they are one tree and not two.

Officiant: Do you Joshua have any words you would like to share with Vanessa?
