My husband was really interested in these and thought they were cool...he even asked how I did it. I got the rub on letters in bluw and went to town. I love them and they are my something blue now.
The bouquets are for the ceremony. They are my first try and are wild, crazy, busy and funky, but I did not want the cookie cutter bouquet look. They are realtouch ann all from Hobby Lobby when florals were 1/2 off...but I may go fresh once we get to TN and I see what all can happen on short notice.
My bouquet...first try. I took a premade bouquet, and added the roses, ribbon, pearl sprays, and filler. Total cost was about $30.
These are my daughters bouquet made from Hobby Lobby's mini callas in the wedding section and a real touch rose and feathers to match mine. Total cost was under $10. My son's bout was a premade one from Hobby Lobby too, and I added some small black flowers that were left over. His was under $3.
These are the toss bouquets I made...premade from Hobby Lobby and added to them. I am not sure if we will use them or not but they were under $5 each.
Love them!!! I can't wait to wear my new one. My original one will always be irreplaceable but the new one is just so pretty!
Well...not so much a reception but it is just as much work and hopefully will be as much fun. Since this is a renewal we are having an "anniversary party" before we got back to Tennessee for the renewal in June. It feels backwards...but I am trying to follow the rules for this whole thing. So...the BIG day for the party is May 22 here in El Paso in our back yard. I am working on decoration, menu, candy buffet, etc etc. It will be pink and black just like our renewal will be. I have tons of stuff to do including ordering the cake and other food this week then set up!!! Finally...we get to party with all the great friends the Army has blessed us with here that are more like family than just friends.
Well...we are approaching our 11th anniversary. I got married on the day I turned 20 in a little white church by a river in Va followed by dinner with my grandfather at Pizza Hut. It was quaint and sweet, but not the wedding of my dreams. Now, after two deployments and missed anniversaries in the last 5 years, we are renewing our vows.
My husband actually proposed again after the first deployment because after a year apart it was like dating all over again. He did it with our kids in one of the underwater tunnels at Ripley's Aquarium in Gatlinburg, TN. That was in 2007. We were originally planing the renewal on number 10, but the Army had different plans. This year it is going to happen for us!
