Hi all! I signed up here to gather ideas for my wedding, and now the wedding is over! September 25th went by and soooo many things went wrong, but we had fun nonetheless. (The cake baker didn't cook the cake the whole way and then got into a car accident on her way to the reception hall, the florist quit 3 weeks before the wedding, the DJ didn't play more than two songs we wanted to hear but every song I didn't want to hear, the groomsmen made so much drama I just wanted to go home and cry, more than half the people who came to the wedding didn't stop in the photobooth we booked, and I had the stomach flu and car sickness from beginning to end!) But the church and hall looked exactly how I wanted them and everyone had so much fun they didn't even notice the things that went wrong!
My FI proposed to me Memorial Day on a pier. I had an idea in my head for a rustic but elegant reception with crystal tree centerpieces, brown tablecloths, and candles. I really liked the idea of doing a version of the "enchanted forest reception" inside by candlelight.
My bridesmaids wore berry colored Alfred Angelo dresses and I wore Maggie Sottero's Rhianna Royale in light gold, which definitely didn't disappoint. (Shoes are impossible to find for this dress, but I wore Calvin Klein's Nixee.) Our color theme is brown, berry, gold and green.
