Katiae45 had the epitome of a vintage shabby chic wedding. This bride wow'd her guests with numerous DIY details and vintage touches. Beautiful flowers were a staple throughout the affair, from the lined ceremony aisle to the adorable floral filled teacups at the reception. Also be sure to take a look at the couple's multiple vintage inspired engagement picture sessions. They really set the tone for what was in store for the wedding itself.

A Ketubah is the Jewish Marriage Contract, which is an extremely important document, (painted on an extremely expensive canvas, I might add! Must have a steady hand and nerves of steal for this project!) It is signed in order to protect the rights of the Jewish wife and to illustrate the husband's responsibilities towards her. It is hung in the couple's home for all to see and is an integral part of the wedding ceremony.

I have looked far and wide, and didn't find any Ketubah artwork that felt like 'us'. Being a published illustrator myself, who happens to be Israeli and therefore fluent in Hebrew, I figured it would be pretty silly not to take on this task personally.

So here it is! I am so glad it's finished! :)

The very tired illustrator at work. Worked on this baby until 2 am two nights straight, hence the pj's. Those are our white puffs for the ceremony ceiling decor, that seem to be attached to my head.

Does this qualify as the first Shabby Chic Ketubah? :P

First and foremost, I simply must give credit to SoLovely, whom we all know came up with the genius idea of combining the doily and ribbon. She very kindly consented to my 'borrowing' her idea. Thanks Shannon!

Our invitations are the only thing I didn't DIY for the wedding. However, as much as I liked them, I felt a personal touch was missing. Hence, I doiled, stamped and ribboned myself to insanity.

Our wedding theme is Vintage- Shabby-Chic, English Tea Garden Party with a touch of Fairy Tale. (Yes, a lot of themes, but somehow in my mind, along with my decor elements, they all go together beautifully) Therefore, the stamp: 'Happily Ever After'.

Honestly, I was expecting a lot of turned up noses regarding my choice of Cinderella invitations, but so far people are raving about them. How can you go wrong with a story about shoes?? The colours are EXACTLY our wedding colours!

Marrying the man of my dreams is a fairy tale to me. It took me a long time to find him.

I hope you all like them! Enjoy!  :)

The inner envelop has silver-lining:

I wax sealed all of the invitations with silver wedding bells, which unfortunately are not very visible in the photo:

There was a grand use of doilies in this operation, ladies!!!

We used  a combination of the wedding rings and wedding cake stamps:

I was having doilies and pink ribbon coming out of my ears by the times all of these were posted!
