I don't want a guest book rather a wishing tree where my guest will give advise, well wishes or just sign.

After the wedding I am making a poster; I am going to paint a tree and place the wishing cards on the picture, add a picture of us, custom frame and hang in our living room.

My DIY projects photo 9

This is for the Sand ceremony.  It is a vase with 6 votives, but I am going to use the vase for the main vessel of the sand, each samll votive will have sand in it, each of our kids will pick their favorite color.  I added beads to the frame and after the sand it poured into the large vessel we will put battery operated t-lights.

I found these at the dollar store, I painted them and added rhinestones.  I am planning of putting them with the wising tree.

Since I am getting married on opening day here in NY state, I found it appropriate to have this sign made.  I ordered the sign fromTracy @ The Homespun Raven on Etsy.com.   I painted the bride & Groom. The bride had long sleeve dress and blond hair the groom was wearing a tux.  I made appropriate changes.  I am having a grooms cake with the hunting theme and pretty cupcakes as well.

TADA!  that's all folks....well at least for now.

Oh WAIT!

I made these for the candy buffet table, I am going to fill them with M&M's, small candies or mints... what do you think?

I have to decorate the pot...haven't figured that out yet... maybe ribbon or decopauge leaves..any suggestions?

They are also a wonderful favor...

What do you think?  :)

I have four very young nieces and they want to be in the wedding as well, they want to be fairies...

I made the fairy wings out of wire and tights! added some leaves, flower and painted the vain of the wings.  This was pretty inexpensive to make since I already had the supplies.

I also made the tutu's (my flower girl modeling)...work in progress.

This is the flower girl basket which will be full of leaves, not flower petals:

Card box: in progress

I finally made my Birdcage vail....

When Two People Marry.

 By Helen Steiner Rice

Your hearts are filled with happiness - So great and overflowing.

You cannot comprehend it for it is far beyond all knowing

How any heart could hold such joy or feel the fullness of the wonder and the glory and the ecstasy of love -

You wish that you could capture it and never let it go - So you might walk forever in its radiant magic glow...

But love in all its ecstasy is such a fragile thing.

Like gossamer in cloudless skies or a hummingbird's small wing.

But love that lasts FOREVER must be made of something strong.

The kind of stregth that's gathered when the heart can hear no song

when the "sunshine" of your wedding day runs into "stormy weather"

and hand in hand you brave the gale and climb steep hills together,

and clinging to each other while the thunder rolls above.

You seek divine protection in FAITH and HOPE and LOVE...

For "DAYS OF WINE AND ROSES" never make Love's dream come true,

It takes sacrifive and teardrops, and problems shared by two.

To give true love its BEAUTY, its GRANDEUR and its FINENESS

and to mold and "earthly ecstasy" into HEAVENLY DIVINENESS.

They say that Diamonds are a girls best friend....well, not for this Girly...Give me a Blood Red Ruby ring and let's call it a day.

   Rubies for ME photo 2

The legend of the Ruby:

It is known as "The king of gems", "Crown jewel", "Red Lotus", the fiery ruby is considered the most powerful stone in the universe.  It is thought to give its wearers health, wisdom, wealth and outstanding success in affairs of the heart. The legend also states that the wearer also acquires the magic ability to  live in peace with his enemies, as long as the ruby was worn on the left hand or as a brooch on the left side.  According to ancient verse of uncertain origin, "The gleaming ruby should adorn, For thus they'll be exempt and free.  From lover's doubts and anxiety"
