Hello all fellow PW members

I figured I would start my bio with what brought me to this website....My engagement to the most wonderful Man and my Best friend! The following is the our engagement story that I posted on our wedding website!

As most of our friends and family know, Luke is in the Coast Guard stationed on the Oregon coast. During one of my visits to see him, he decided to take me on a tour of the sand dunes and local beaches near his station. Little did I know where our adventure would lead us, or how it would change our future forever.

We took off on our adventure with no real destination in mind and found our selves driving along the beach near the Coos Bay Jetty. Luke parked his truck and asked if I wanted to walk along the jetty. It was a beautiful day so I was eager to get out of the truck and take in the fresh air. Luke remained in the truck asking if I wanted some gum while pretending to look for it in the center compartment of the truck...little did I know that he was grabbing the ring to try and hide it in his pocket...

Luke got out of the truck and we made our way out to the middle of the jetty. It was sort of a difficult climb for me and at one point I almost fell. I remember looking at Luke and he had such a concentrated look on his face. Finally we found a spot on a flat rock in the middle of the jetty to sit down and take in the beautiful view. We sat there for a few minutes chatting while he showed me the tower of the Coos Bay Coast Guard station which we could see across the way.

It was late afternoon and it was absolutely beautiful out. At one point I said to Luke, "I wish I could take a panoramic picture of this view, I want to be able to remember this for a long time!". Luke's responded by saying, "Oh, I think you will remember this moment..." right at that moment I turned to look at him and he had the ring in his hand and he asked me to marry him! It took me a few seconds to realize what was actually happening and I finally said "YES!!!" and gave him a hug while I tried to keep the tears back! That day is a day I will remember forever!
