Scott, I am so honored to be standing up here in front of our loved ones to take you as my husband.  Nothing has ever felt so perfect and natural to me.  If I were to stand here and tell you how much you mean to me, it would take forever, so I'll be brief.  You are my other half and you definitely are a blessing. I always prayed for a man like you to come into my life and God has granted my prayer.  You are my rock and my reassuring voice; you are strong when I am weak.  You have always been there for me, have always been persistent and have always loved me regardless of the circumstance. You are my best friend.  There is no one else I would want to spend the rest of my life with, because no one else would even compare to you.  I stand here today and promise you all of my love & my life.  I promise to stand by you no matter what, to obey and to honor you, through sickness or health, riches or poverty, and through the good times and the bad.   Until death do us part all of this I promise you, I will always love you and I look forward to our new life together.

Worth Waiting For Lyrics

Beckah Shae

So long I've hoped for you
So far no one compares to you

You got me dancin’ like a fool when I’m alone in my room
You have me shoutin’ hallelujah just when I think about ya
You got me loopy like a roller coaster  hangin’ on
You got me skippin’ like a record, baby, to my favorite song
You are the one, you are the one
That surpasses all my expectations
My search is done, my search is done
So I’ma have myself a celebration
You are more than I could have ever ask for
I’ve never been more sure
This love is so worth waiting for

I know my prayers can be answered
You’ve proved dreams do really come true

You’re what I always wanted
You’re so incredible
No better thing that comes from trusting
I’ve held patience hand
You made me a fan
It’s so wonderful to be in God’s perfect plan
I know I am blessed
I know I will wait for you all over again

You are the one, you are the one
That surpasses all my expectations
My search is done, my search is done
So I’ma have myself a celebration
You are more than I could have ever ask for
I’ve never been more sure
This love is so worth waiting for

                          Today, I take you to be my wife/husband,
as my friend and my love.
I give you my heart,
I have no greater gift to give.

May my heart be your shelter,
And my arms be your home.

Today, I join my life to yours
As your wife/husband
and your best friend."

Mark 10:6-9 (New International Version) first reading :o)

6"But at the beginning of creation God 'made them male and female.'[a] 7'For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife,[b] 8and the two will become one flesh.'[c] So they are no longer two, but one. 9Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate."

1 Corinthians 13- second reading

 1If I speak in the tongues[a] of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames,[b] but have not love, I gain nothing.

 4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

 8Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. 11When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. 12Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

 13And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Proverbs 31 (New International Version)

Proverbs 31

Sayings of King Lemuel

 1 The sayings of King Lemuel—an oracle [a] his mother taught him:

 2 "O my son, O son of my womb,
       O son of my vows, [b]

 3 do not spend your strength on women,
       your vigor on those who ruin kings.

 4 "It is not for kings, O Lemuel—
       not for kings to drink wine,
       not for rulers to crave beer,

 5 lest they drink and forget what the law decrees,
       and deprive all the oppressed of their rights.

 6 Give beer to those who are perishing,
       wine to those who are in anguish;

 7 let them drink and forget their poverty
       and remember their misery no more.

 8 "Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves,
       for the rights of all who are destitute.

 9 Speak up and judge fairly;
       defend the rights of the poor and needy."
       Epilogue: The Wife of Noble Character

 10 [c] A wife of noble character who can find?
       She is worth far more than rubies.

 11 Her husband has full confidence in her
       and lacks nothing of value.

 12 She brings him good, not harm,
       all the days of her life.

 13 She selects wool and flax
       and works with eager hands.

 14 She is like the merchant ships,
       bringing her food from afar.

 15 She gets up while it is still dark;
       she provides food for her family
       and portions for her servant girls.

 16 She considers a field and buys it;
       out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.

 17 She sets about her work vigorously;
       her arms are strong for her tasks.

 18 She sees that her trading is profitable,
       and her lamp does not go out at night.

 19 In her hand she holds the distaff
       and grasps the spindle with her fingers.

 20 She opens her arms to the poor
       and extends her hands to the needy.

 21 When it snows, she has no fear for her household;
       for all of them are clothed in scarlet.

 22 She makes coverings for her bed;
       she is clothed in fine linen and purple.

 23 Her husband is respected at the city gate,
       where he takes his seat among the elders of the land.

 24 She makes linen garments and sells them,
       and supplies the merchants with sashes.

 25 She is clothed with strength and dignity;
       she can laugh at the days to come.

 26 She speaks with wisdom,
       and faithful instruction is on her tongue.

 27 She watches over the affairs of her household
       and does not eat the bread of idleness.

 28 Her children arise and call her blessed;
       her husband also, and he praises her:

 29 "Many women do noble things,
       but you surpass them all."

 30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
       but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.

 31 Give her the reward she has earned,
       and let her works bring her praise at the city gate

The Hands Ceremony

, Please face each other and take each other’s hands, so that you may see the gift that they are to you.

These are the hands of your best friend, young and strong and full of love for you, that are holding yours on your wedding day as you promise to love each other today, tomorrow and forever.

These are the hands that will work along side yours as together you build your future.

These are the hands that will passionately love you and cherish you through the years, and with the slightest touch will comfort you like no other.

These are the hands that will hold you when fear or grief temporarily comes your way.

These are the hands that will countless times wipe the tears from your eyes, tears of sorrow and tears of joy.

These are the hands that will tenderly hold your children.

These are the hands that will give you support and encouragement to chase down your dreams.

These are the hands that will hold you tight as you struggle through difficult times.

These are the hands that will give you strength when you need it.

These are the hands that will lift your chin and brush your cheek as they raise your face to look into eyes that are filled with overwhelming love for you.

And lastly, these are the hands that even when wrinkled and aged will still be reaching for yours, still giving you the same unspoken tenderness with just a touch.
