Hello my fellow brides!! My name is Jenifer and my Fiance is Anthony.  We are planning a winter wedding for February 4th 2012.  We have already been engaged for almost a year, and were planning a wedding for June 2011, but we decided to change our date so we had longer to plan.  Here is my ring.  He bought it at Helzberg Diamonds in Roseville. I had never heard of them before I started dating Anthony, but they are amazing!  I bought his ring which is a Scoot Kay Colbalt, and my E-ring will be completed with two identical diamond bands of each side so it looks like a set.

Wedding

We met at American River College in Sacramento.  We are both studying music, myself in flute performance and he in recording engineering/business of music.  We have several mutual friends, started texting one day in January of 2010, and the rest is history.

We dated for several months before I couldn't contain my feelings for Anthony any longer, and he reciprocated.  In July of 2010, we were engaged and planning an LDS wedding for around 120 people.  I always knew I wanted a "big" wedding, so any less than 100 just wan't gonna happen.  I am also eclectic, so choosing a wedding style and venue has been a little bit difficult, especialy since we're on a strict budget at students.  We decided on having our reception at our church in the multi purpose room, complete with a stage for our dj and band, spot lighting and catering sized kitchen-FREE! thats the best part.  Since Anthony works with professional lighing and sound, we are paying nothing for our dj equipment and lighitng effets, which means we can let the lights set the tone and spend less on other decor, like flowers, which tend to be quite expensive.

I also already have my dress. I bought it off the rack as a sample in December 2010 planning to be married in June 2010 instead of February 2012.  I got it at Alfred Angelo.  It an A-line taffeta skirt with sparkly lace covering the bodice and going down the skirt at a diagonal to the floor, with the same lace peeking out of the taffeta at the bottom (pics later).  Because we are having an LDS wedding, I must have sleeves added to it.  It did come with sleeves in the same lace that covers the bodice, bit I need them to have more coverage, so my seamstress is adding taffeta underneath to give the coverage needed.  Here is what it will look like with sleeves addes on.  The only difference from this dress and my own is that this one is satin instead of Taffeta.

Our attendants are wearing orange dresses and orange bow ties/vests, respectively since our color is orange.

Our entire wedding with the exception of catering and my and my BM's hair and makeup, is DIY.  I am ordering orange pintuck taffeta table clothes that reach the floor, and we will have a "simple" centerpiece of manzanita branches with flowers and crystals that I found on eBay...elegant and stunning.  I want chivari chairs to complement the elegant and fun look of the table decor, in gold color to complement the orange.  I am ordering plastic champagne flutes 12/$3.99 online for the guests, and dinner will be a light buffet, so there will be no real place settings.

Our dance floor will have light trees to create a party effect because I want people dancing into the night! We will have a small jazz combo playing during the start of the reception and during dinner, then afterward have the DJ get the party started after the cake, bouquet and garter toss.
