This is my first post (or update to my bio as project wedding calls it). I set-up an account on project wedding so I'd have a convenient place to search for inspiration, ideas and vendors. Then I received a whole lot of toasts and realized that there is a great, supportive community here--what a lovely surprise! So a very big thank you to everyone for the toast and for such a warm welcome.

I'm just getting started with my wedding planning. Since my fiance is British, and almost all his friends and family are in England, and all mine are in the US we are having two ceremonies, one in the San Francisco bay area where I live and another in London. So I'll be looking for lots of ways to make those dollars (and pounds!) stretch.

We have already selected a color palette for our bay area wedding. We are going with red and aqua, which is often called Tiffany blue. I like the impact of the contrasting colors and feel like I'll be able to create a beautiful environment while keeping the need for a lot of accessories to a minimum. I've saved a number of inspiration boards from the project wedding site so if one of these is yours and I haven't given you credit let me know, as I want to give credit where it's due (and to say thank you for the ideas!)

My current project is finding a place where I can get co-ordinating (but not matching) save the date cards and wedding invitations that don't cost a fortune. I'm comfortable purchasing these on-line rather than in a store if necessary. If anyone has recommendations please let me know!
