The ceremony started at 7 PM and this was in the Fall so the sun set early! Thank goodness I had those lanterns and a great photographer. We got some really cool shots in the dark!! :)
We took a limo back to the hotel to end the night...here are a few pics of the ride!!
That last pic cracks me up...I look like I don't like my DH...I swear I LOVE HIM!!! :)
The ceremony was held at the Dallas Arboretum in the McCasland Sunken Garden. Like I said in my recap, the weather was amazing...PERFECT. We rented the lanterns and it made the ceremony space so lovely...it was so much better than I imagined it would be! I didn't want to do too much to the space and I couldn't afford too many flowers so we decided to keep it simple lol. I'm going to show some of these pics big cause I love them so. :)
I'm such a dork, I was waving to people in the audience...lol!!
Here I am messing up on my vows lol
Here are some pics of the Groom and GMs at The Adolphus. Super cute pics...since I was late, I didn't get to take cool pics like these...BUMMER!!
I took some pics with the BMs at the Dallas Arboretum, which is where the ceremony was held. Here they are!!
Since DH and I didn't get to take all the pics we wanted to, we will be doing a RTD. Fun, fun, fun!! :)
DH and I decided to do a first look before the ceremony. Thank goodness we did, I think it eased my nervousness SOMEWHAT lol. We got ready for the ceremony at The Adolphus hotel in Dallas by the way. It was a gorgeous hotel. I'll show you some really cool shots my DH and his groomsmen got in another bio page!
This was definitely fun...spending time with my closest girlfriends listening to music, getting dressed and made up. Even though I was late, I decided I wasn't going to let it get me down too much...I wanted to enjoy my time in the spotlight lol. My good friend did my make-up, we didn't even do a trial run...she was amazing!
LOL. I kept telling my friends the dress wasn't tight enough...they made it tight alright!!!
Checking myself out lol.
I didn't have a reception, so I don't have a lot of cool detail shots of that...but I did get some while getting ready at the hotel. Here they are!! :)
My bouquet...my father passed away so I put his dogtag on my bouquet to remember him. Even though he was not there...he still got to walk me down the aisle. :)
More shots of my bouquet and my maid-of-honor's bouquet!
Shoe shots!! The brand is Romantic Soles...I thought they would be perfect cause they had hearts on the bottoms and they would be my "Something Blue"! I got them from Zappos.com and I added AB clear swarovski crystals with a hotfix applicator!
Here are my earrings, my hair fascinator and veil and my BM's earrings. I got the earrings from Forever 21 and my DIY'd the fascinator and veil! I have a bio page from me making the fascinator somewhere on my page. I just added swarovski crystals to the netting and cut it in the style I wanted. My first time putting on the veil was on the wedding day. Thank goodness it worked out. My photographer even helped give me tips on attaching it! :)
Here's my dress, my bridesmaid's dress and my program. Making those programs caused me to be super late getting dressed. I was embossing and gluing peacock feathers well into the afternoon! GRRRRRR! Don't wait to the VERY last minute to make them, if you are going to do it! :)
Side Note: Now that the wedding is over I miss stamping, embossing and gluing things!! **sigh** lol.
My Dress is Maggie Sottero in light gold, the bridesmaid dress is Mori Lee in grape.
