Being that I have gone "natural" or shall I say I have begun to wear my hair in it's natural state for almost 2 years now.
I really love this style but.....
I am on the search for updo styles that are versatile and will last me about a week as we leave for our honeymoon the very next morning and I have NO intentions on packing any curling irons, flat irons, blow dryers or any other hair tools for that matter. This is such a challenge for me because I also want to look like a bride. I'm not wearing a veil for sure but I do want to wear a nice headpiece. Sigh, the search continues but here is a bit of my inspiration. I am open to suggestions as well...
Purple is my ALL TIME favorite color. It's regal; signifying royalty. It was so hard to choose one shade of purple not to mention it is a gazillion different shades and so hard to match them with different vendors so I chose three different shades.
I've always liked paisley prints (the paisley looks so good on the ties).
And what better way to incorporate an accent color other than platinum, or silver if you will. Platinum just sounds so much better though LOL.
It's been a bit challenging finding a paisley print inspiration that I like, however, I fell in love with this swirled beauty. SWOON! This has been my inspiration that I have shared with my cake artist. I'm super excited and she is super excited! I trust her and I can't wait to share the details with you. 68 more days!
I wanted a twist to our guest book rather than just have guests just sign their names and go...I stumbled upon http://www.elegantlyboundbooks.com and had this gorgeous dupioni silk book custom made to my liking. It was customized to have one page per guest and it lists questions such as:
Name and address
How do you know the couple?
Advice for the newlyweds?
Here she is...
This is just the beginning to my monogram madness....I love them and I have spent many, many hours trying to decide on something unique. Thanks to fellow PW bride Sarah Goff of Signatures by Sarah, she was able to bring my vision to life. Here is her FABULOUS work. Thanks Sarah!
