I made the invitations with paper from paperandmore.com and california paper people. The double envelopes were purchased through icl-paper.com. I wanted something simple because, in all reality, people just through it out.
Each invitation was matted on purple and then kiwi irridescent vellum. The text was printed on natural colored card stock using Microsoft Word. I then embossed each invitation and reception card with a gold feather/leaf shape. I lined the inner envelopes using gold wrapping paper. I had hoped to find some pattern in purple or green but I didn't find anything I liked. All in all I think the gold ended up looking great.
To address the outer envelopes I make wrap around labels in Word (not pictured)
My bridesmaids are wearing Venus Bridal - Bella Maids dresses in heather. The dress has a small broach looking applica underneath the bust. The dress is rouched throughout the bodice and has a small train in the back.
Are wearing black tuxes with white shirts and black ties and vests. The groom is wearing a black tux with a platinum vest and tie.
I got my dress through Brides Against Breast Cancer gown sale. The experience was great and I'm glad that the cost of the dress went towards a worthy cause. Here is a link to the website www.bridesagainstbreastcancer.org
The Dress is by Alfred Angelo. I have my final fitting this weekend and will put updated photos on soon. The beading on the front continues underneat the wrapped panel and all down the back of the dress.
We met in college in 2002, I moved into the same apartment building as him. We had a lot of fun together and just clicked. :)
We got engaged in March of 2007 and our wedding is set for September 27, 2008. <3
I've posted professional photos in my photos - please look there.
Here are a few photos of my make-up trail. I'm planning on the shade between my lids and brow bones to be a little darker for more contrast. Other than that I love it! Make-up by Wendy Larudo Face-F-X.
The favors are chocolate covered oreas (DIY). Each guest will recieve 2 oreas and a piece of white chocolate that has "thank you" on it. Each are in a white box with a purple ribbon tied on it. Here is a picture of the finished oreos (both are milk chocolate).
The phrase on the candle is from Shakespeare - "Now join your hands and with your hands, your hearts." Then our names and wedding date.
Printed on Vellum and then using Vellum tape, I secured it to the candle.
