Trudy's Brides, Prom & Special Occasions
I LOVED my experience at Trudy's. However, I should point out that I only went on weekday evenings, NOT on weekends. My consultant, Sheryl, was awesome! We talked for a bit about the kind of wedding I envisioned, themes, etc. Then she told me the vibe she percieved from me and the type of dresses she thought I'd be going for. She hit the nail on the head! Every single dress she bought out for me trumped all other dresses I tried on at other shops. Not because the dresses themselves were that much "better" persay, just that they screamed "me" more. She worked with my budget and only brought out dresses that were well within budget. None of this trying to get me to spend more business. She never pushed me to buy right away, and even let me have some time alone with my "posse" to talk things over. I ended up staying there for about 1hour and 45min even though many brides have said they've been kicked out after an hour. All-in-all, I loved my experience there, and I would definitely recommend this place to other brides with the disclaimer that they should request Sheryl (or I heard Marika is good, too) and only go on a weekday. Apparently, weekends are a madhouse.

Kimberly Aurora's Studio : Romantic Flowers
This review is for their eBay store. In search of sashes for my BM, I really didn't want to spend a ton on pre-made sashes. I heard nothing but rave reviews for Romantic Flowers' Midori double satin ribbon, so I checked them out. Their prices are decent considering what you're purchasing is technically ribbon, but if you think about in terms or sashes, their pricing is awesome! I was lucky enough to find the colors of ribbon I wanted in their eBay store in the exact quantities I needed, so I got an even better deal. The Midori double satin ribbon is so soft and really does feel like a quality piece of fabric rather than a ribbon. It's just the touch I was looking for the spice up my BM dresses. Shipping was quick, and I had absolutely no problems with them!

I loved working with Villa Ragusa. They worked with our budget, gave us lots of options, and in the end we ended up with exactly what we wanted/needed all for a price that none of our guests would believe. We got tons of compliments on the food, the bar, everything! The men especially have been coming to me, raving about the size of the prime rib. :-) I worked with Alison Gardanier throughout the whole process. She was very helpful, accommodating, and quick to answer any of our questions. The day of the wedding she was attentive to our every need and made sure that we were comfortable throughout the night. I have to say, though, that the main reason we chose Villa Ragusa over other reception venues was the combination of size and price. We were estimating around 300 guests for our wedding, so our reception options were a bit limited. Most hotels maxed out around 200 and those that didn't were pretty pricey. In the end, we chose a hotel that maxed out at 280 and just tried to be happy. Luckily, a bout of bad service from that hotel prompted us to cancel our reservation and begin the search anew. Good thing we checked out Villa because we were able to accommodate more people, have much better food, a bigger dance floor, more space and a full bar for much less than we would have spent at the hotel.

Margaret's French Bakery
We have not had our wedding yet, but we've loved working with Margaret so far. Her cake is absolutely delicious! She was very helpful, easy to work with, and not pushy at all. So far she has been very responsive to our questions and just a pleasure to deal with. I'm so excited about our cake! :-)

Michael has been awesome to work with so far! We booked him in 2006, so we were able to avail of his special deal/packages. Even without those added extras, I'm sure we would have booked him. We love his style and his amazing eye for composition. We had our engagement session with him and absolutely LOVE our pics. We were so nervous and awkward at first, but he sensed that and directed us into positions/poses. Once we warmed up to the camera, he stopped directing us and just allowed us to be ourselves, and I think it showed. We're both extremely excited that he'll be working with us on our wedding day with his partner (a photojournalist for San Jose Mercury).

I bought all my crystals (a LOT) for my DIYs from Tami's Place. The site is simple, easy to use and the prices are great. The free shipping is a plus. :-) I recommend Tami's to everyone who asks about my projects.

This place really does have amazing prices. I used them for boxes for my boxed invitations and saved a TON by not buying standard "invitation" boxes. I've used them for non-wedding related projects, and their serice is always good. Shipping can be expensive, so as much as possible, order everything you need at one time.

Si Arima Alterations
I loved working with Si. She's a very sweet woman and her prices are really great. I had a pretty complicated dress with folds/ruching and bead work all down the sides, and she was able to take the whole thing in for me while keeping the beading intact. She even did a wonderful job on my mother's lace dress. In the end, I'm only giving four stars instead of 5 because at my last fitting I found a small "stain" on the skirt of my dress. It was one of those stains that you can only see if you look at a certain angle, so I wasn't really bothered by it. To be honest, it probably bothered Si and my mom more than me. Also, later on a found a few loose threads where she had to redo the beading. Again, not a big deal to me, but it might be to other people. All in all, I would totally use her again for alterations because I've really never had anything fit me as well as that dress did!

I was really happy with the service we received from Le Grande Affair. The driver called the day before to introduce himself and confirm all the details. On the day of, he actually arrived ahead of schedule, which was really important to me since we were really cutting it close time-wise. He was very friendly and accomodating. Since the drive from the hotel to the ceremony site was so short, we never even had a chance to pop open the champagne. To my surprise, the driver actually left it for us! Altogether, they were very easy to work with, flexible, and accomodating. I'd definitely use them again if I ever had any need for a limo. :-)
