I really wanted a floating candle centerpiece but it ended up costing a lot more than I expected when I factored in the cost (even after looking at save on crafts). So by the time I decided to hire someone, the more inexpensive florists or florists willing to work within my budget were booked. I tried contacting Nicole Ha, wish!flowers, Flowers by Anne, etc. McCormick & Kuleto's had a list of preferred vendors which included several recommendations for florist. Shayna, the catering manager, recommended one vendor off the list and I contacted them. After several e-mails and no returned call, I decided to contact a few more vendors off the list. Carol from An Added Touch Flowers was one of the first vendors that contacted me back that said she could work with my budget. The others I contacted never responded or my budget was below their minimum for a Saturday reception. She works from home so she is able to save a bit of money for you. She also worked in our reception site before, so I felt more comfortable knowing she was familiar with the place. After I signed the contract, we didn't get in touch with each other until one week before the reception. When I arrived at the restaurant, I was blown away with how beautiful everything was. The entrance piece was amazing and the other reception tables looked great with the floating candles. There are a few things that disappointed me, and that's why I didn't give an "A". The orchid in the large cylindrical vase was not really floating and just sitting on the bottom. I'm not sure if that's just how orchids are, but I've seen some amazing floating centerpieces with orchids. I noticed a few bubbles in the vase also - hehe, I know that is really being anal! But when I was researching doing a floating centerpiece myself, I read that using distilled water won't cause bubbles. Who knows? I thought decorating the cake for $100 was a bit steep also. Bev told me in the beginning that she could decorate our cake with some silk flowers and it would still look great. I still think the cake turned out well, I'm just having a hard time accepting it was $100 good job. In all, I think Carol did a great job incorporating our vision and executing on the day of. She worked well with our DOC to arrange setup and cleanup, and I didn't have to worry about DIY flowers. With that being said, it was worth it for me to hire her and I am pleased with what she did.

Lucy's Alteration & Dressmaking

( 3.0 / 5.0 )
$226 for Jessica McClintock dress Lucy is a very sweet woman that I found through reviews. Her store is located very close to my dad's store so she had the added convenience of being close to me. It was easy to make an appointment with her, and parking near her store if very easy (I usually park right in front). Her dressing room is a nice size, and she will often help you into your dress (as she says, "don't worry, I've seen it all!"). The alterations cost broke down to: Hem - $120 Side seams - No charge Zipper - $35 Victoria bustle $35 Cups - $20 Tax - $16 I had my first fitting on March 17 and my second (final fitting) on March 31 so it's a quick service. So there are two reasons why I didn't give her an A. I read one review that said she left some marks on the bottom of a dress and failed to notify the bride. I meticulously looked at my dress when I picked it up and didn't notice any marks. However, I did find one long needle that was left near the bottom. No real harm was done but I could have scraped my ankle with it if I didn't find it on time. Secondly, my dress has a lace bodice that was quite comfortable when I purchased it however there was some extra fabric sticking out. Lucy said she will fix it but it will cause the bodice to be tighter. When I picked up the dress (1.5 months before our Chinese reception), the bodice just seemed a bit too tight. I could breathe, but I couldn't take deep breaths. Being asthmatic, I often get a nervous breakdown if I feel suffocated at all. I mentioned it to Lucy and she told me that the bodice was perfectly altered and if she loosened it, the extra fabric would stick out again. I took it home and didn't think much about it until a few weeks before the reception. Again, I tried on my dress and yes, I could breathe, but I still felt very constrained about taking deep breaths. I called Lucy and she told me to come in that afternoon to take a look. She reassured me again the dress was shaped perfectly, and that she didn't want to loosen the dress or else I wouldn't like how that fabric would stick out. I gave in to her advice, and brought the dress home. For the Chinese reception, I only wore the dress for half of the time as I wore my Chinese dress for the rest of the time. I have to agree with Lucy that the bodice was so perfectly matched with my body shape that the pictures I took in the dress were absolutely beautiful. For my American reception 2 months afterwards, I was going to wear the dress for the entire night. The problems started halfway into the dinner when I started feeling a bit suffocated. I pushed it aside and tried to concentrate on entertaining our guests. To make a long story short, by the end of the night, I had to have my sister unzip the dress and let me take a few deep breaths before going back into the reception. Anyone with asthma will tell you that there are a few moments of genuine panic when you realize you can't get enough air into you and that's how I felt. Looking back, I should have been more forthright in telling Lucy that I needed the dress loosened. I didn't stand up for what I really believed was the best option and I was misguided when she told me how great I looked. And really, it looked so great that I can't be mad at Lucy since she wanted me to look my best. If I had told her how serious I would react if I started to notice I couldn't breathe deeply, I'm sure she would have loosened the dress. This really taught me a lesson to stand up for myself in future situations. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone.

Events with Flair

( 5.0 / 5.0 )
I booked Mylinh almost one year in advance because of just one great review she got from another bride. During that time, I was considering another recent bride who became a coordinator (who will remain nameless because she still posts on this board), but I felt that if a coordinator could not return my phone call after 3 times promising she would, I should look in a different direction. Throughout the planning process, Mylinh and I had about 3 long phone conversations and one meeting at the restaurant to go over what I needed from her. I am an extremely organized person, so I basically needed someone to execute on the day of. I had a setup checklist (11 pages) for Mylinh, a 2 page timeline, and she kept everything together for us. She was organized, and helped me with certain planning material. She was supposed to send me a sample program but never did, but I know she would have sent it if I reminded her. After I booked Mylinh, I read two negative reviews for her from other brides. I was a bit worried about this negativity so I contacted another bride who was using Mylinh and her friend was using her services as well. This bride told me that her friends wedding went very well and Mylinh even handled a situation with a very rude vendor. The brides review of Mylinh was positive as well, so I felt more confident to have Mylinh as my DOC. Per our contract, Mylinh picked up my decorating supplies 2 days before, and I would pick them up afterwards. My florist was using huge vases for our centerpiece, so I asked Mylinh to keep those vases separate so I could return them to the florist later. On the day of, I told Mylinh to call me at a specific time to update me on what was going on. She called me on time, and asked me if she could make some alterations to certain plans as they were not going to work. I felt that she had control of the entire setup situation and she was calm and collected. During the event, she made sure we were on the timeline. I had to remind her a few times if she could ask the staff to turn on the AC higher, turn down the music, clear the plates but as soon as we asked her to deal with the restaurant, she took care of everything. When writing this review, I kept on asking myself if a better coordinator would have noticed these things and should they have been done without me having to ask her. Ive come to a conclusion right in the middle. Im admittedly a very anal person, and I could not release control of the timeline even on the day of. I even had my timeline right next to my dinner plate to make sure we were on time. =) I honestly believe that Mylinh would have taken care of these things herself without me having to ask, but because I noticed these things quite immediately, I was just a bit overzealous in asking her to do it. She made sure we ate, and even offered to have the restaurant pack something for us. At one point, she helped the staff clear the plates and even helped the bartender with drinks because he was away. If you are hiring Mylinh, I would recommend that you ask two friends or family members to help her with the setup and cleanup. We had our sisters help with the setup, but we forgot to ask them to help with the cleanup. So at the end of the night, Mylinh asked a few of our close friends to help her move some things into her car. My friends did not mind, but I knew it must have been a bit awkward for them. I wish she would have reminded me first so I could have asked my friends to help her, but again, small detail that I missed and my friends were ok with it. There were two things that impressed a lot. Mylinh told me the day afterwards that the restaurant accidentally threw away the cake tier stands they were supposed to keep. She called the restaurant and they offered to write a small reimbursement check to our cake person, Bev Tanaka. Mylinh then called Bev herself to explain the situation, and made sure it was taken control. Secondly, I was supposed to pick up the florists vases when I arrived in her house where she was storing things for me. Mylinh took the added step of planning with my florist that she would return the vases, and she did the same night. That helped me avoid a trip to the city, and I truly appreciated her helping me even after the reception. Overall, Im very happy that I chose Mylinh as my DOC. She arrived on time, worked efficiently, and really did some things beyond what we asked for her. Her wedding is one week after ours, but I felt her attention was always on us and she really delivered on what we needed her to do.

Hotel Vitale

( 5.0 / 5.0 )
$399 per night in family suite From the moment we walked into their lobby, we were treated very kindly with all the staff members. After seeing all their pictures on their website, I knew that Hotel Vitale would be perfect for us for the weekend. We booked a family suite to give ourselves some extra room when I was getting ready, and we wanted to splurge a bit. The family suite only offers limited views, while the panoramic suite has full 180 degrees of the Bay Bridge for close to $799 per night. The family suite suited our needs (and budget!), so we booked online without any problems. Two weeks before the reception, we decided to go to the hotel and see the family suite. We called the hotel earlier and they said it would not be a problem at all to show up a vacant suite. To make a long story short, they must have showed us the worst family suite they had. The window in the room was so tiny I dont think I could have fit myself through it. The view in that room was atrocious, and needless to say, we were panicked that we were spending close to $1000 to spend two nights in this room. The hotel employee who showed us the room must have seen the horrified looks on our face and told us that he would put in a request for us to have the most aesthetically pleasing family suite available, however, it would not be known until we checked in if we could get this room. So with fate, we kept the reservations. But honestly, I looked at all the other suites in that area and they were all booked, so we were forced to just face what would come. Our friend dropped us off at the hotel on Friday around 4:30. Valet parking is offered for a steep $42 per night, so we decided to not bring our car with us. As soon as we arrived, a doorman promptly opened our doors. A large event was occurring in the lobby and all the garment racks were being used. Once they saw I had my wedding dress, one of the floor managers got up from his desk (at least 15 feet away from us) very quickly and gently helped me out of the car and took the dress himself and went to direct an available bellboy to get him an available garment rack in storage. =) Check-in was easy, and the staff congratulated us for our wedding reception. The hotel lobby has a very minimalist decorum, and the restaurant Americano is located on the lobby level. We received two room cards, and a key to the suites honor bar. We arrived in our family suite and we were blown away. The employee who showed us the decrepit suite with the tiny window really hooked us up with an AMAZING suite! The windows were 6 ft high and nothing like the pitiful suite they showed us earlier. Everything was clean, a CD player in the room was playing soft music, and the hotel uses Fresh products which I use myself and they are quite expensive (I made sure to pack the shampoo to go home, hehe). Literally two minutes after we entered the room, the bellboy knocked on our door and placed everything away for us. He was very courteous and even offered to help us make dinner reservations. Our television wasnt working so they sent their technician within 5 minutes after our call to correct it (it just needed to reset). We forgot toothpaste and they sent it again within 5 minutes after our call. Our rooms were cleaned twice a day, and there was a nice chocolate near our pillows, water, small poetry quote by our bed, and a nicely written weather report for the next day. The shower pressure was great and we used a sakai bubble bath that was part of their honor snack/household bar. We ordered room service one night and the kind gentlemen who took my order called me before they sent up the order because he had told us it was minestrone soup but it was actually vegetable medley soup and if that was ok with me. =) The food is from their restaurant Americano so it was very delicious, high quality food definitely not your typical hotels room service. There is a gorgeous deck on the 5th floor that we lounged on to look at the Ferry Building and the Bay Bridge a great opportunity for us to take pictures also! My girlfriends and I had breakfast in Americano which was expensive, but very good. The restaurant staff was very friendly, and the dcor of the restaurant matched the entire hotel. Overall, this was the best hotel Ive stayed in. The staff was so friendly and I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone. Oh, book room 737 if you can! Gorgeous! It is right by the stairs, so you may hear some loud people going down the steel staircase, but it was a price we were willing to pay to stay in that room.

McCormick & Kuleto's

( 4.0 / 5.0 )
Captains Room 60 guests, 2 vendors 4 hour room block with 2 hour for setup One hour cocktail hour with 350 passed hor doeuvres Limited bar offering one white and one red wine, assorted sodas and juices Buffet with main entrees chicken marsala and salmon Coffee and Tea service Vanilla bean dessert Vendor meal Linen rental for 7 guest tables, 1 sweetheart table, cake table, escort card table, food buffet and candy buffet table Wireless microphone and speaker installation *** Grand total: $100 per guest *** My husbands job (UCSF Cancer Center) has their yearly Christmas party at McCormick & Kuletos, which is why we looked into it for our reception in the first place. We wanted a small reception of only 60 people, and we wanted a restaurant that offered a private room. I worked with both catering managers at the restaurant, Susan and Shayna, and they both were very easy to talk to and helped me with the planning process. I worked with Shayna more and she was incredibly enthusiastic and allowed us to plan this reception as we wanted without many restrictions. The restaurant had a list of preferred vendors, and Shayna helped me choose a florist since most others I contacted were booked. She even went the extra step to personally introduce me to one of her favorite florist when the first florist on their list did not contact me after 5 emails/2 phone calls (who will remain nameless). I also went through my linen rental with the restaurant, and AV rental to avoid headache. We had a tasting which we brought 2 guests (up to 4 allowed), and they let us schedule it on a time that was convenient for us. The servings were HUGE, and we sampled entrees, appetizers, hor doeuves, and the wine we were considering. The restaurant allowed me to show my DOC the room when it was vacant and the staff was very responsive to all our questions during meetings. During the reception, all the linens were setup before my florist/cake person arrived so it easy for them to get started. The bartender was very nice and even walked around serving people red and white wine when we told him that it was ok. The buffet was replenished quickly when food portions got low. The food was delicious! One of the many things I worried about was that the food would be overcooking in the warmers and would taste terrible. I made sure with Shayna that the food would not be setup until after the hor doeuvres, which resulted in us waiting for it, but it was worth it. The salmon was delicious. Everyone I talked to loved the salmon. I didnt care much for the chicken marsala, but the salmon was more than enough made up for it. We had a huge assortment of pasta dishes and salads so my one vegetarian guest was more than pleased. The staff was initially slow picking up dishes, so I had our DOC remind them and it was taken care of quickly. The final bill was much less than we expected. We had put a deposit of 80% our estimate, and the estimate was close to 98% of our actual cost. We expected people to drink more, but they only drank $900 and the estimate was closer to $2000. So for the price of only $100 per guest, which included passed hor doeurves, buffet, limited bar, and a fabulous view of the Bay, I think it was an exceptional value. So why only 4 stars? Our room reservations were from 6:30 to 10:30, a four hour window. Vendors were allowed to setup from 4:00-6:00pm. I asked Shayna if I could come to the restaurant at 6:00pm (30 minutes before the start) to help with final decorations and to take pictures with my family members and parents who would arrive at the same time, and they said it was ok. Imagine my surprise when my dad arrived shortly before we did and the hostess rudely telling him that the event was not to begin until 6:30. Once my husband and I arrived at the restaurant, I was flabbergasted to see my 80 year old grandmother sitting in the waiting area and Jerry asked the hostess if we could be shown into the Captains Room. The hostess had the gall to tell my husband, who was wearing his suite, and me, wearing my wedding dress, that the room was not ready until 6:30 and we should basically just hang around. To avoid a confrontation, my husband told the hostess that we were told it was ok to arrive at 6:00 from the catering manager, and we proceeded into the room. I think this situation could have been avoided if someone had told the hostess that we were arriving at 6:00pm and would have not caused a bad first impression for my parents and family members. I emailed my experience back to Shayna and she responded really quickly with an apology and she assured me that she will have the other managers look into the incident. She had written in the contract herself that we were to arrive at 6:00pm but the hostess did not read it, or simply forgot about it. Shayna said we approached the situation well and she would have done exactly the same thing if she was in our position and walked into the room. I wasnt expecting a gift certificate or anything, so just the apology was good enough for me and my husband. So, I still would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant.

Hong Kong Flower Lounge

( 3.0 / 5.0 )
Really 3.5 stars. I had my Chinese reception at HKFL in June 2007. From the beginning, this was something my parents were hosting so they had their own decisions about everything. We looked at several restaurants before choosing HKFL, but they had chosen it for price, quality, and location. I always make fun of my dad for having so many connections with people in different fields, but it did pay off this time. The catering manager is a good friend of my dad's business partner, so my parents were able to negotiate a whole bunch on their contract. For example, it costs $25 per table if you want to serve your own drinks ($5 per liter of Coke, are you kidding me?), but that was something my dad negotiated away. The mom's sisters (all seven of them!) all came a few hours before the start of the banquet and helped us with decorations, putting out bottles of apple cider, etc. They were going through some construction on the outside of their restaurant, and you could see some of those construction ladders from the windows! But they covered the windows by our table with nice red curtains so I didn't mind. They have a very small changing room next to their bathroom, so we had to divert several people way looking for the toilet. The one big flub was that they didn't set up space for our karaoke singing troupe (yes, it was my parents idea). It was a mad dash one hour before the start of our reception that the staff had to move a few banquet tables around. What really impressed me was the food. WOW! I usually come to HKFL for dim sum and really haven't had a "WOW" moment so I wasn't expecting that much. So, it really surprised me that the food was absolutely delicious. The servers were quick and the host made sure that we were on our time line. What I really didn't like is the space. We reserved the 2nd floor because the 1st floor has these huge pillars that block the view. The 2nd floor isn't that much better because they have huge DOORS that block the view from the main table. But again, it was always decided that this was my parent's hosting, so I literally had no say in the entire thing. At the end, it cost about 14K for 22-25 tables (I wasn't kidding when I said this was my parent's thing, I didn't recognize almost 1/3 of the people there), but as with many Chinese banquets, we came out over that amount in red envelope.

I purchased my votives and tea lights from cudge.net because they are made from 100% paraffin wax with a lead-free cotton wick and they are odorless AND smokeless. Ordering was simple and I received my shipment within a week. I didn't pay much attention to how long the votives or tea lights burned for, but I know that they were lighted around 6pm and the majority of them were still lighted around 10pm.

H2 Cards

( 4.0 / 5.0 )
I used H2 cards for my invitations for our Chinese reception and really loved the way they turned out. I worked with Sammi in their SF Chinatown store, but I just learned she left to go back to school. I went to their store with my sister and parents and Sammi was more than accommodating to make sure we all had our answers to our questions. Their website has a good variety of their invitations offered at their store. I noticed that they use to put the price of their invitations on their website, but when I look now, they actually want you to call their office in SF or NY for a quote. That makes more sense because I noticed their website price for our invitations was close to $100 more than what the store quoted us. The invitation we got had a modern style and my parents loved that it was bilingual (they also do trilingual invitations). They were really responsive on getting the proofs to us on time and made sure to update me how the process was going. We also purchased wedding favors of crystal apples from them and only one had a broken leaf. Much to my horror, my mom tried bargaining with them regarding the cost.. and to my surprise, she actually got a deal on the favors. =) Some of their more popular wedding favors such as ceramic figures and certain crystal figures are back ordered close to 6 months. My parents wanted a double happiness crystal cube but it was back ordered in Hong Kong for 8 months. I'm happy with what we ended up with but if you do want more of their unique figures, I would recommend ordering early.

Bev Tanaka

( 5.0 / 5.0 )
Bev is one of those rare vendors you find in the wedding world that is affordable and genuinely loves working with brides and grooms. I knew I was going to hire her the first time I met her. We wanted a simple delicious cake with minimal designs, and she exceeded those expectations. We chose her simple vanilla buttercream cake and she adjusted the sweetness exactly for us. She also offers many other flavors which she would happily email to you. The cake was beautiful and tasted great, but it was the things she did that were not required and were out of her generosity that made me happy to have her. Firstly, I wanted a three tiered cake but she said it is usually for 75 guests while we had 60. I told her that I was willing to pay up to 75 people so I could have the three tiered, but she only charged me for 60 guests and made the three tier anyway. Secondly, my aunt and my stepmother-in-law were celebrating their birthdays on the same day. Bev made miniature birthday cakes for them without any charge and it went over so well. Im not sure if she will be the best option if you want a cake with more intricate designs or custom flavors, but, for a great deal on a simple, tasteful cake, definitely get in touch with her.

Blue Nile

( 5.0 / 5.0 )
I absolutely love my engagement ring! Before the old man (Chinese sentiment to call your husband) and I got engaged, he thoughtfully asked me what I would want. I can be a bit picky about jewelry, and I did scare him with a story in the past that I had my ex-boyfriend return a promise ring he gave to me because it was hideous (well, he got the point after I cried - not the "I'm so happy cry" - when I opened the ring box). Anyway, I love how Blue Nile's website allows you to build your own engagement ring. The options on the website are very user friendly. After you select which diamond shape you would like, there is a built-in slidebar that allows you to select a range of carat size (0.23 upwards to 12), cut (fair to signature ideal), color (J to D), clarity (SI2 to FL), and price ($200 to $400K). Each option has a drop down explanation if you are unfamiliar with any of those descriptions. After selecting your center piece, the website shows you a really thorough report of the diamond which includes depth %, table %, symmetry, etc. Then you can select your metal type (platinum, yellow gold, white gold) and style (solitaire, side stone, three-stone, matching set). Then my favorite part comes when they show you ring you designed on a hand to give you a perspective how large the diamond looks, and also a side profile for you to see how much height there is. I selected everything I liked, then I choose "e-mail to a friend" and I got EXACTLY what I wanted. Jerry called in the order, and the sales representative gave him some additional advice. Insured shipping through FedEx is included, and the ring was sent in a very nice blue ring box. I've used Blue Nile for Christmas gifts as well, and I haven't had any problems.

Save the Date Originals

( 4.0 / 5.0 )
It was very easy to work with Angela who designed our magnets. Angela only asks for a $4 deposit for her to start working on your magnet, which is deducted off the final invoice. I sent her one of our save-the-date picture and gave her a general idea of what I wanted, and the first draft was really good. She was always quick with returning messages, and also offered a lot of advice about which font or color to use. The magnets were in great quality and the colors were very good. The magnets are a bit thin but not as thin as VistaPrint magnets that I received from friends. It didn't feel flimsy but I don't think it can hold more than a few sheets of paper on the refrigerator. When I first received my order, it only contained 40 magnets when it should have had 50. I checked my e-mail and Angela sent me a message that one of her printing sources ran out of ink and she would send me the remaining balance within one week. In one week, she sent me the remaining 10 magnets and an additional 10 for being patient with her. However, the printing colors of these 20 magnets were different (more bluish tone) than the original 40 I received. It was not that noticeable (as Jerry would say, I was being "anal" again), but it did bother me a bit that the color was not consistent with all the magnets. I still think she did a great design on the magnets and would use her services in the future.

Pretty Pen Jen is a great option for low budget brides who would love to get some calligraphy on their invitations. Her prices are very reasonable and she offers many font types. If you are on a budget, this is something you can skip, but I have to tell you that we did receive A LOT of praises on the calligraphy. So, if you can afford it, I think it can add a special touch to your invitation when someone receives it. When I inquired with Jen if she was available, she promptly sent me an e-mail saying she was getting ready for a big job in a few weeks but if I sent her my envelopes now, she could work it in her schedule. I sent her my envelopes and a file of addresses (she will tell you how she likes it formatted), and I received my envelopes back in two weeks! She also kept a few envelopes in case you notice any mistakes (I didn't see any), or if you need her to make a few more for recently invited guests (she will do them for free of charge). They turned out beautifully, and our guests could not stop raving about them.

Fancyfortunecookies.com

( 5.0 / 5.0 )
I found out about this vendor from another bride and I'm so happy that I selected them for our fortune cookies. I wanted to get a fortune cookie that was pink but their strawberry fortune cookie looked too pale for me. I decided to select their cherry fortune cookies instead. The ordering process was easy, and they have a great shipping calculator so you can determine if you need to rush your order or not. The shipping estimate was exactly on time for us. The cookies arrived individually wrapped and we had the option of using 5 different fortunes. This added a lot of personalization to our reception, and people LOVED our fortunes which reflected our humor ("You will receive a fortune cookie" "Help! I'm being held prisoner in a Chinese bakery" "Baseball is wrong, man with four balls cannot walk"). They tasted very fresh! We received them one week before our reception and the directions included said we could store them in a cool dark place and it would stay fresh for close to one year. The cherry flavor tasted like Red Vines! If you read the product review, that's what everyone says! I never liked the taste of Red Vines, but if anyone brings a large Costco container of Red Vines, I can't stop eating it because it's so addicting! Sure enough, I still can't stop eating the leftover fortunes I have. I completed a small survey after I was finished ordering, and I received a coupon for 10% off my second order.

$250 bride, $135 extra people, trial $150 This was the second time I had Lisa do my hair and makeup for myself and my sister and I loved her results each time. It was originally hard to get a hold of her because she does work on movie sets and only books 3 months in advance, but Im so glad I waited along for her. She does her trial in her house in Oakland, and you may get the chance to meet her equally nice boyfriend and her baby an overly friendly dog. She listened to what I wanted, I showed her pictures of updos I liked, and told her that I didnt want to look too made over. Lisa is very honest about what would look good which I truly appreciated. She hit the mark the first time, but was very willing to play around with other styles until I found something I was comfortable with. For this reception, she showed up at my hotel on time and also planned everything so my photographer could get some getting ready shots when he showed up later. I was her third job for that day, but I was her first booked job so she made sure I was ok with her doing another job in the morning. I thought that was really considerate of her and Im positive she wouldnt have taken the earlier job if I told her I was uncomfortable of the times being too close together. My hair turned out exactly as it did during the trial, and we were able to add a flower pin also. Shes totally at ease, very easy to talk to, and got along great with my sister, sisters friend and myself. I think we could have done the entire makeup session in a bar together because we were laughing and having such a good time. Shes amazing. So, book her, now! My hair did eventually droop near the end of the night, but it had been styled 8 hours before. I dont think even plaster would have held my hair any longer because my hair is long and straight (asian straight).
