Bride's Jewellery

I purchased all my jewellery at Magnolia in the Bayshore Shopping Centre in Ottawa. They are beautiful salt water pearls and Swarovski crystals. I wanted simple stuff that would compliment my dress and my "something borrowed" a stunning pearl necklace both my grandmother and mom wore on their wedding day.

❤❤❤❤❤

Bride's Shoes

Inspiration: Would love a bright red satin, kitten or shorter heel, and a little bow. Valentino is smokin' but sooo expensive!

Reality: Paris Hilton did a shoe that looks almost exactly like the Valentino and I like it better! Plus it's in my budget!

Garter

I ordered my lovely, bright candy apple red garter from etsy.com at the store of HELLODESIGNCREW

Nails

I decided to match my nails to my shoes and garter to give myself that extra pop of colour. I ended up with Sephora's "High Maintenance"

 Dress Alma Novia Dress

I went to my first of three dress appointments with two of my close friends Jenn and Crista. We went around the store and picked out ones that looked good on the hangers. This was the first dress I found and the first dress I put on. It was so lovely. But of course we tried on a bunch of other ones just to make sure. At the end, I had to put it on again! This time the shop girls pulled my hair back and put on a floor length veil. We All Started to Cry! This was it, My Wedding Dress. They weren't kidding when they said you'll know when you find it...Much Like Love! I have since cancelled my other appointments and plan on involving my mom, sisters, FMIL, FSILs in the process when they visit me next.

❤❤❤❤❤

Update

My family was in town so I booked another dress appointment. My mom, 2 sisters, FMIL Nancy, and close friend Ashley all went to see my dream dress. I let each person pick out a dress they thought I would look good in and then at the end I put on mine. I dolled it up with the jellewery I'd bought and the veil. Everyone was in tears. It's going to be a show stopper and I'm willing to bet my FI is going to tear up when he sees me!

My Dress Finally Came In!

After waiting for what seemed forever, and after a few snags in the plan to receive my dress from Italy (it made it to Canada with a huge rip down the middle, so they had to remake it!) Here I am with my hair trial and my first fitting, I still love her sooo much! I truly feel like a BRIDE!

Centrepieces

The centrepieces will be a DIY project. We have purchased three different sized candles in red, cream and brown. The plan is to arrange them on a wood slab, burn a monogram into the wood, somehow stand the table number and maybe incorporate a mason jar. Here are some inspirations.

❤❤❤❤❤

Tablescape

What we have in mind for the table is it will be a natural wood to match the chairs. Then as a table runner we want something with both burlap and lace on it. The chairs will also have burlap and lace tied somehow to the back of them depending on the style of chair.

Lighting

We want to create a twinkle in the barn that will feel romantic. Here are some inspirations found on Pinterest

Ceremony Aisle & Arch

I would like to have these fake butterflies in mason jars hung somehow to mark the aisles. You can see how crazy real they look HERE. My dad could do up some really nice rod iron hangers. I would love petals on the aisle too.

Prints

Basing the design from the invitations and our colour scheme I went on to create the following things to be printed out for the day of the wedding. They include Table Numbers, Reserved Seating sign, Menu, Seating Place Cards, and Buffet/Candy Bar signs.

 Where the Party's At

In order to save money and feel at home we decided to have both the ceremony and the reception on Bobby's parent's property in the country. It's a beautiful piece of property with a cute farm house and a wrap around porch.

Invitations

We found the original design for these invitations at Papeterie Store  and decided they are perfect, matching our wedding website and everything. I made some of my own changes to it and will be printing them off. This BAD, oh so very BAD! It's a copyright issue and although I did it, I don't suggest or approve of doing it. The edits were made using picnik.
