What a day! And I don't remember most of it after getting ready!
We did get home and realize that neither of us had any pics on our own camera or phones, so all of these have been stolen off of FB! We are hoping to have some more soon, and hopefully some of the pro pics, too =)
Our beverage mugs for the day -
Shoes & cosmetic bag
Getting ready! My SIL & niece, a bestie, ME!, another bestie! (it was SOO very nice to have so many close friends there)
The table @ the entrance to the pavillion - we set up our autograph frame here
Me & my MOH, my aunt, goofing on our way to the First Glance
Post First Glance, witing for the rest of the party to get ready to start the ceremony
Dad walking me down the aisle
And well - no one has posted any pics of the party yet, so I am guessing everyone had too good of time to stop and take pictures! Hopefully will have some more soon - because I don't remember a lot of it!
The reception will be in the open air covered pavillion - on the right side of the pic below -
Lights are already strung and will remain - paper lanterns just didn't fit in the budget, so thinking of doing some white tissue paper pom-poms to hang in the rafters
The view from the lawn - can also set up chairs out here, bistro lights already strung and will remain
Chairs & stone tables will be set up around the lawn area, including a fire pit for s'more making and cigar smoking
There are a few great spots @ Dry Comal Creek, and we are having a tough time making up our mind if we want to do the ceremony set up in front of the vines (hello! it is at a vineyard!) similar to what is below - this is from a wedding earlier this year :
we could do the total Texas thing and go under the trees, which is really beautiful -
we were thinking in that little space between the trees on the left there, and the bistro lights are already strung out there.....
Dry Comal Creek Vineyard in New Braunfels, TX - we will have the ceremony & reception here
The main building and outdoor covered pavillion - we will also have use of the entire grounds
Hubs & I have been together 9+ years, so we figured getting married was a good excuse as any to throw a helluva party.
And we decided on October 1 because:
a) 10/1/11 is a pretty easy date to remember and
b) it was on a Saturday
