We went on cruise to Mexico the week after our wedding! It sucked to have to work the week after the wedding (it was only a 4 day week), but it was nice that we had that week to pack and get ready for it! I would have been a mess if I had to have EVERYTHING ready by the wedding day :)
It was a first cruise for the both of us and it was absolutely amazing!! We went to Cabo and Puerto Vallarta. It was probably the first time in my entire life that I just RELAXED for the entire week. DH was in heaven too because his middle name is relax and do nothing. lol. All around, awesome vacation. Nice to get away. We randomly met another couple on their honeymoon from Sacramento! Pretty cool. Now onto some pictures!!
(It was SOOO HOT! Check out blue shirt sweat!! Luckily we were both wearing white, so you couldn't see how soaked we were!) Oh, and $1 Coronas!!!!!
We had plenty of margaritas!!!!
Having fun at Senor Frogs
Sunset sail (on a smaller sail boat) for DH's birthday!! He turned 27 on our honeymoon :)
All in all, of course we had a blast! It was beautiful weather and we both got super tan and enjoyed drinks and food and fun!!!
I was recently asked to be part of the wonderful Hostess team here at PW! I am so honored and excited to be part of such a wonderful group of ladies. I am here if you need me for anything, don't hesitate to ask!
I designed my own invites one day, and really loved them. I was going to print them on my own, but I'm not good with formatting and everything like that, and don't really feel like doing that. Haha. Here's the design.
You get the idea. I was going to buy 5X7 folded cards. You're invited on the front, and information on the inside. But I'm just not sure anymore. Another option is Zazzle or Vistaprint. Or Etsy...
Or...how cool is this:
Etsy -this etsy seller is BOOKED until mid May :( I know I don't need invites until then...but I don't like the idea of waiting that long!! lol.
I think we are going to go the cheaper route (ie waiting until zazzle has a sweet sale)
I also ordered matching Thank You cards :) And these come with envelopes, but I will probably order purple ones from cardsandpockets to fit the color scheme and have better quality envelopes :)
So all in all, maybe I could have gone through an etsy vendor, because these came out to 1.82 per invite including the extra purple envelopes I bought...and some of the etsy vendors may have worked within that budget, but probably not. I'm kind of over invitations by now. Haha. Just have to address them!
*UPDATE* 7/2/12 MAILED THEM OUT!!!!!!!!
We booked a florist last week!
I am excited! I really didn't want to deal with a florist, and the cost of a florist, but my parents offered to pay for one. Since the beginning I've wanted to use wine bottles. Just recently I decided I want them all white. We will have purple table cloths so, it will look nice!
All different size bottles like this and all white with white flowers and lots of greenery!
As for bouquets, I fully trust my florist on this one. I have yet to find that one purple bouquet that I love, but I love her work. I love the rich texture of these bouquets. No roses though!
And I love the dark purple carnations! My BM's will have all white, and I will have purple
*UPDATE* FMIL and I spray painted 36 bottles a couple weeks ago. They look great! We had some mishaps with the spray paint bubbling, but oh well!
~Can't wait to see it all come together~
our centerpieces, and below, our bouquets
EDIT**Future brides: If you're not really wanting a florist, a lot of brides have opted to go through sam's club or another place like that to order bulk real flowers and did the arrangements themselves if you want something simple. I didn't really think about that before hiring a florist. Just a thought. :)
