My Maid of Honor is my 16yr old Sister! I know most of you are wondering how that is gonna work. We both had our concerns at first, mostly my sister. She was concerned that she would not be able to live up her part, but I assured her that I wouldn't want anyone else by my side.

My MATRON of Honor is by best friend since childhood. I love her just like a sister.

Hello PW Divas!

So I'm getting a bit restless while I am waiting for the final two catering proposals. I keep looking at the calendar and thinking about ALL the things I still want to do and have not started yet. So, I finally got motivated and started some of my smalled DIY projects.

First is my table numbers. I initially wanted to do a lighted table number this this: 1st DIY photo 1

But after my endless search for more fabulous wedding decor, I decided to go with a framed table number like this: 1st DIY photo 2

I knew I wanted to have a vintage feel to my centerpieces, so I wanted to make sure I carried that theme onto the table numbers as well. I am also planning to have lots of candle light on the tables, so when I ran into a beautiful mirrored frame at my local Dollar Tree, inspiration struck. So after buying the frames I went over to Michael's (coupons in hand of course...lol) purchased some wooded numbers, spray paint, and tacky glue. I was so excited when I got home, that I immediately started working on them. Two hours later, this is what I ended up with: 1st DIY photo 3

The pictures are a little dark, but you get the point...lol. I can't wait to see how they will look on my tables, reflecting the candle light around them. OOOOH so excited!

Frustrating search for a Caterer photo 1

Hello PW Divas!

SO lately I've been feeling  like I am one of the judges on CHOPPED. I've been looking for a caterer and have not had any luck so far. I've interviewed and recieved quotes from 6 caterers, and the only thing I've acomplished to do was give myself a great big headache. One of the main reasons I chose my venue was because it allowed me to choose my own caterer. I was completely excited about it cause I figured it would equal out to be major savings for me. So far, I'm not seeing the savings!! I've interviewed about 6 caterers and so far, I'm just not thrilled about the quotes I've been getting.

I am expecting a guest count of about 120 max. The lowest price quote I recieved was about $7,000 and that is not including tax and gratuity! Does anyone else think that is rediculous? I can see spending that kind of money on some fancy food that I can't pronounce, but spending that on some stuffed chicking with bread stuffing  or some roast beef....I don't think so.

So for now I am still on the hunt. I am waiting for quotes from 3 promising caterers who were willing to work with me on my budget. Hopefully I can get this finalized so I can start working on other parts of the wedding. Wish me luck girls...
