So this Saturday two of my bridesmaids and I are sitting down and taking a stab at tissue pomanders. My wedding colors are Brown and Orange...I will have some shades of red and yellow in there. Its a fall wedding so of course im going to incorporate the fall colors. I found an amazing guide on here http://www.projectwedding.com/wedding-ideas/diy-tissue-pomanders#.TjrPuBacHWk.email . I love Pomanders and plan on having my bridemaids use them in substitute for their flowers. Im not just making them in 3" balls. Im doing different sizes. Pomanders are also going to be used in many other places. Im on a budget of about 1,000 to 1,200, so real flowers were not on my list of stuff for the wedding. I will update and post photos from this weekend. I would love to see other people's pomanders, what did you use extra, ribbons. Also good luck ladies on your weddings. I'll post pictures Monday, along with the photo of where we are holding the reception.
Hi my name is Jamie, I just got engaged the August of last year. I was born and raised in Southern Georgia, yes I have the accent (I claim that is one of the many reason Jason fell in love). Ive currently just started to think about planning the wedding that will be held October 22, 2012. We finally sat down and came to the conclusion we don't want a big wedding. Something with family and close friends seem more our style. We also decided to skip the whole ceremony and settle for a courthouse engagement. However the reception we are holding at our property in Green Cove Springs FL. It took alot of convincing on my part to Jason for me to do this. I promised him it wouldn't be redneck granted that's my roots. Everything except the Clothes is going to be DYI. I'm a huge arts and crafts person. I paint on my spare time love anything with art.
