Jason and I have decided to go to the courthouse and get married. We might end up getting married before August 17th and the reception is still on the 17th of August. We honestly thought about going and eloping and going on a nice honeymoon but we are still going on a nice honeymoon by going to the courthouse and going to have this small reception for our close friends and family. Now comes the fun part of planning and paying for it.
My soon to be MIL is making our cake and I have chosen the colors of turqouise and also have chosen a beautiful cake from the Disney Wedding's website. Since we can't afford our dream wedding at Disney World why not bring a little Disney to us.
I have been patiently waiting for Jason to propose to me and this past trip to Disney World it happened. I was honestly expecting for a proposal to happen last July when we went to Disney World but when it didn't happen I was a little bummed out but I was going to be patient in waiting for him to do it. Well this past Monday we had reservations at Cinderella's Royal Table at 5:15pm and we were going for Olivia's birthday (my daughter). Well after we ate dinner the waiter said he would be back out with dessert so I was expecting something like chocolate cake. But what came out was a white platter, and under the top was a bed full of roses and on top of the roses was a glass slipper, and inside the slipper it was a beautiful ring. Jason then got out of his seat and he got down on one knee and he asked me to be his wife. He said "Will you marry me, Charlotte?" I was in shock and didn't expect it at all. WOW!
Now comes the time to start planning a wedding and have a good time. :)
Hi everyone! My name is Charlotte and I am dating a wonderful man, Jason. I'm 30 and he is 33. We met online through a service called meetrealguys.com and I had been very skeptical in finding someone online. But where I live in Rocky Mount area it's hard to find anyone decent that I could marry one day. Well we chated online for over 4 hours the first night and then even longer the next few nights. I met Jason the last week of February after my grandfather passed away. But I have to say that Jason is the best thing that has ever happened to me (besides the birth of my daughter from a previous marriage.) Well I went on a date with Jason at an outdoor outlet mall because I felt safer going out with someone in a very public place, and I even drove there and he did too. That way if I felt there was a need to drive off I could. We definitely connected and it took him over 45 minutes to hold my hand and even longer to give me a kiss. It was instant connection then. It took me almost 3 months before I would introduce him to my daughter, Olivia who is 7 and I felt that it was time for him to meet her. We took her to Disney World this past July where she had a blast and we plan to do a lot with her whenever she is with me. We have now been dating for almost 6 1/2 months and everyday that I'm with him makes me want to be with him forever. He lives in Fayetteville which is an hour and a half away from me so saying goodbye is getting harder and harder to do.
We have talked about getting married and made plans to get married after school is out for my daughter. We originally were looking at getting married in February but we decided to wait until the summer sometime (we are thinking sometime in either June or July). I work in the medical field as a insurance specialist and am looking for a position where insurance is offered and I will be paid a little more than I am now.
Jason is currently in school to become a real estate appraiser and he can't wait until his classes are complete in October 2011. Then he will have to take his state boards and he will be an appraiser. :) He will be able to work from home and I hope that one day I will be able to work from home as well and raise a family.
