Hello Everyone!

I'm new to all of this, so bear with me!

My name is Valerie! I'm engaged to a wonderful man named Jt. He's currently in training for the National Guard, but will finally be home on January 24th, 2012. We're planning on having our wedding at Silver Dollar City, in Branson, Missouri. I've been going there since I was in a stroller, and I've loved it since the beginning. Jt, however has never been. He grew up on the Space Coast of Florida, so he's had his fair share of Disney and the other numerous parks down there.

As far as the wedding plans, I'd love to do something Victorian, since Silver Dollar City is vintage/rustic-y. I'm not too terribly fond of rustic, because from what I've seen so far, it's too barn-like, and I really want it to be there vintage-y feel rather than the woodsy stuff. Anything with bustles and ribbons and roses! I love the detail of the dresses of that time. The colors I'm wanting to use are:

The second color, "fern," is MUCH prettier in person.

I'm kind of torn on whether I should go full on victorian as far as the dress. I've found wonderful reproduction dresses, but I'm not sure if I'd actually want it all like that. I guess I'll know once I find "the one" dress!

As far as dresses go, I'm definitely looking for a vintage feel. Although right now, the only ones that flatter my body are ball gown style dresses. My goal is to lose 50 pounds by the end of the year so hopefully I can get that done with and really start looking at a we'll fore go on that for right now.

I LOVE anemones. I'm not a huge fan of roses, I just find them terribly cliche. I wouldn't mind having some though, depending on the color. As far as ideas for my bouquet go, I definitely want anemones and antique pink ostrich feathers surrounding the bouquet.
