Bridesmaid dresses were the first part of the wedding I had set. I actually went to Cinderellies to look at wedding dresses and found the perfect bridesmaid dresses. Cinderellies is a small locally owned business in Edmonds. It is absolutely darling and the staff is very professional and excited about what they do. I liked it because it was an alternative to the large chain stores, which I HATE dealing with. The selection of bridesmaid dresses consists of one rack, but they are much better quality and comparable prices to other alternatives. The dress we picked out was actually on sale. The girls had to get their dresses altered elsewhere because they dont have a person employed at the store that does alterations. This ended up being great because I had girls from all over the country. I would definitely recommend Cinderellies closet for bridesmaid dresses, flower girl attire, and mothers of the bride and groom attire. Cinderellies is a very special place.

Sugar Rush Baking Company
We didnt have a cake, we had a dessert buffet. We found out about Coffee to a Tea (Sugar Rush Bakery) through our Caterer who partners with Coffee to a Tea. Deciding on them was easy because we met the owner at a tasting for Herban Feast, it seemed a perfect partnership because Herban Feast could pick up and set up all of the desserts instead of paying two delivery and set up fees. We had a special tasting of all of the desserts we could have a couple months before the wedding and fell in love with all of them. It was hard to choose what to get and with their amazing and economical event packages, we ended up with many different choices for our guests. Our package included the desserts and beautiful display pieces for the buffet. We had a buffet of tarts, small cupcakes, and small pies. The desserts were delicious and people raved! I still visit their storefront in West Seattle when I want to revel in the memories of my perfect wedding night.

Our experience with Herban Feast Catering was amazing from the start. We found them by going to one of their wonderful tastings. We were able to taste over 10 different appetizers, 4 main course selections, salads, and sides. They immediately won us over with their friendly staff and most delicious food. We dealt directly with BJ, the owner, for most of the planning and he was the one to actually cater the event. Our first meeting went well and he was very accommodating with our requests. We had a large wedding 200+ with a large amount of children. He had great suggestions! He created a signature Apple Mint Mojito to compliment our wedding and suggested having a cocktail hour before the ceremony to set the mood for the night. He also suggested a fun kids buffet to accommodate the amount of kids we had and still keep a sophisticated meal. Herban Feast did all the food, drinks, dishes, flatware and drinkware, they provided us with wait staff, linens, and bartenders. The only thing we did not do through them is purchase our beer, wine, and liquor. They were very accommodating in telling us all the quantities we would need for all of our special drinks. The services provided on the day of the wedding could not have been better. The staff was professional and equipped. They worked well with our wedding planner and I never worried about people not getting enough to eat or drink! They were worth every penny we spent!

St. Patrick's Catholic Church
St. Patrick's was wonderful to work with for our ceremony. The wedding coordinator for the church, Kay Ferrel, was wonderful. The church was very accommodating to all of our needs. They were accommodating in letting us use the music equipment and we had a priest from a different parish conduct our ceremony. The only complaint I have is that the area we had to get ready in was a large multipurpose room with terrible lighting. The pictures of us getting ready were not very good because of this. But, other than that, the church is beautiful and has good parking. It is in a beautiful location on Capital Hill.

La Belle Elaine's
LaBelle Elaine's was a great wedding gown store to work with. Although very expensive, the amount of care and personal touch that is put into the service is worth it. My favorite part of the experience at LaBelle Elaines was that I worked with the same girl for my whole experience. Every time I made an appointment they made sure that I got the same person that helped me pick out the dress. The catwalk in the store is a nice touch too. It is a long, elevated walkway with beautiful lighting and mirrors all around. Another great touch was the fact that I was able to webcam my mom right from the store with my dress on. She lives in Alaska and was not able to see my dress in person when I picked it out or for any of my fittings, but LaBelle Elaines has a special webcam set up above the catwalk for situations like mine! It was a great and emotional experience for my mom to be able to see me in my dress before my wedding day. LaBelle Elaines is worth the money! I loved my experience with them.

Mona Lisa Events
The best money we spent was on our wedding planner from Mona Lisa Events. The woman we worked with is no longer with the company, but Heather, the new owner worked with our coordinator for the wedding day and we loved her too! We met with our wedding planner about 6 months before our wedding date. We had some vendors in place already, but got her because we needed help navigating the rest of our vendors such as rentals, DJ, and flowers and to do the coordination on the day of the wedding. Our wedding planner was above and beyond. She did everything from purchasing little nick-nacks, keeping track of contracts, to coordinating wedding parking, and providing staff for a kids table at the wedding. She made me feel comfortable and eased all of my stress!! She thought of seating arrangements, did all of the decorating and tear down at the reception, moved flower arrangements and got us great deals on our vendors. Our wedding was one of a kind because of all of her great ideas. We met on a monthly basis until closer to the wedding when we met about every two weeks. She was extremely organized and kept task lists for my husband and I so we knew what we had to get done. She came to a couple of our vendor appointments to help us communicate with them and make sure we got everything we wanted. She had great local vendors that she partnered with and we had one of a kind treatment from all of the vendors she recommended. They were personal and professional, it was like having a best friend that wanted nothing from you and wanted to give as much as they could!! I always had to remind myself that our wedding wasnt the only one she was coordinating she just did a great job making us feel like our event was the most important! My best advice for any bride to be is to spend that extra cash on a wedding planner because in the end, they save you time, money and sanity!!
