Chicago Marriott O'Hare

( 5.0 / 5.0 )
Marriott OHare-Reception Site. This Marriott was easily accessible and offered free parking for our guests. The staff and service levels at the Marriott were fantastic, truly and exceeding our expectations. The dramatic door opening, champagne presentation, were executed to perfection. Our reception included the largest pastry table I have ever seen. Our guests rave about the food from our wedding to this day. Our coordinator paid close attention to detail.

Studio One Photography and Video, Naperville

( 5.0 / 5.0 )
The location of Studio One that we used (Palatine) has disbanded. There are a few other Studio-One locations. We loved Studio One. They helped us every step of the way. Studio One gave us a checklist to be sure they took all the pictures we wanted. Our photographer was very sensitive to my parents, who are divorced so that no one felt at all uncomfortable or isolated. The picture and album packages were generous and my album is the envy of several of my friends who were unable to book with Studio One.

Holy Family Parish

( 5.0 / 5.0 )
We were pleased with Holy Family. The Victorian-Gothic architecture lent an aura of drama to our ceremony. Holy Family was flexible regarding flowers, rehearsal and photos. Initially we thought it was a bit difficult to get in touch with Holy Family via telephone, however, when we stopped the Rev after the 9:45 am mass, he was more than helpful and it was worth the effort. Rev Jeremiah Boland of Holy Family Church officiated our marriage. Fr. Jerry was personable, warm and kind. We are thankful he performed our ceremony.

Johnny O

( 4.0 / 5.0 )
John did a great job. He had provided us with a checklist to be sure he knew everything we were doing. He gave us an extensive song list in case there was anything we did or did not want to hear. My dance floor was always in use. He pronounced everyones name correctly during introductions.

Tuscany on Taylor

( 4.0 / 5.0 )
Our rehearsal dinner was held at Tuscany on Taylor. Tuscany was nice, but not memorable. It was in walking distance to our church, which was convenient. The food was tasty and the portions plentiful.

The Old Barn

( 1.0 / 5.0 )
My Bridal shower was held at The Old Barn in Burbank. The Barn was awful. If I could give it zero stars, I would. We were crammed in a tiny room with long tables against the walls in such a way that once seated, you could not move. The food was bad. The servers scraped food left on the guests plates into a wash bin in the same room that we were in gross!!! The head server scolded a busboy who attempted to help us carry gifts out to the car. I guess that part was our job.
