My godsister is a very talented pastry chef and will be making my cake. We are debating on using different flavors for each layer. I've gone back in forth between using squares or rounds but think I have finally found a great way to incorporate both (see 2nd picture). Each layer of the cake will be decorated differently. I can't decide if I want flowers or a monogram on top. If we do a monogram, I would like a monogram like this.
We are going on a 7 day Western Caribbean Cruise on the Carnival Valor. We will leave the morning after the wedding for Miami (our flight is at 5:40 am...eek!) We will visit Grand Cayman, Rotan Island, Belize, and Cozumel. We are still trying to decide on shore excursions. We have an oceanview stateroom.
Inspiration picture for my bouquet. My bouquet will be wrapped with my great grandmother's hankerchief for my something old. It is monogramed with an "L". Great grandmother: Leona, Grandmother: Lanie (Elanie), Mom: Lynda, Me: Lara....we just realized we were all L's.
Chris is a VERY talented graphics designer and is designing a lot of things for the wedding. This is our monogram. He also did our website www.christophercraigweb.com/wedding. More of his talented work to come.
We are getting married at First Presbyterian Church in Huntsville, Alabama. This is the church my parents got married in and I grew up going to. It has gorgeous dark woodwork and huge stained glass windows. However, I'm really having to force myself to embrace the bright red carpet. Oh well, it will be beautiful and so special.
