After the wedding, Jen and I got to run off to Hawaii's BEAUTIFUL state capital, Honolulu. We stayed for about a week and enjoyed every last minute of it because once we returned...Jen started nursing school!
We each got a tattoo!!!!!!
When I thought about the dress, nothing really popped to mind as to what I imagined "the dress" to be. I tried on many dresses to get ideas and finally came across this Alfred Angelo wedding gown. The sash will be a cherry red. Ignore the raw images of me in the dress as it looks like a gunny sack. I will be making the front of the dress into a more defined sweetheart neckline to add some distinct feminine touches. I can't wait for my first fitting!
The venue was held in Geyserville, California on family property. The house was still in the process of being built when the idea was purposed for us to get married there. After months of searching for a venue, we finally decided that Geyserville was the perfect location for us to tie the knot. The rush to complete the house began. The foundation of the house came together in a blink of an eye and the process of clean up began promptly! The inside was yet to be finished but no one knew that... Thanks to my family for wanting to make our dreams come true, the house turned out to be more breathtaking then words could ever describe.
Jen and I had a BLAST working with long time friend and photographer extraordinaire, Jason Bennett.
Jason is one of the first photographers I ever worked with, when I first began doing makeup for photography. Keep in mind, I've been in the business now for 14 years, so we met in my very early amateur days and I was merely a kid. It was a pleasure working with him and I trust his talent to the end of the earth. As my friends know, I'm not very fond of having my picture taken--I'm very used to being the subject behind the camera! I could not have been more pleased with the results. Thank you Jas!!
