May 24, 2007
Monday 5/21/07 - The longest day of our lives. We left NJ, flew to Phoenix and landed in Hawaii all on the same date.
Thursday 5/24/07 - Wedding day! It went buy so quickly and pretty smoothly.
Saturday 5/26/07 - Friends and family flew back home and we were off to our honeymoon! We flew to Honolulu for 2 nights.
Monday 5/28/07 - We set sail on Norwegian Cruise Line's Pride of Hawaii ship for a 7 day Hawaiian cruise.
Tuesday 6/2/07 - Back home and broke.
My wedding shoes weren't anything special or fancy but I love them! The husband, during fiance status, took me to Loehmanns Shoes in Paramus NJ on a boring rainy weekend back in September 2006 and there they were calling to me! I love BCBG shoes - I must own about 10 pairs. The best thing is that I was able to wear them to my bridal shower, my wedding ceremony and during the entire reception for all the dresses I had to change into! I'm dying to wear them again but don't have a wedding until November!
After searching high and low, trying on countless dresses I finally found the dress of my dreams! This Nicole Miller Double Face Satin Halter Gown with Twist Back Detail was not only designer but also so very reasonable in price. I loved this dress so much I wanted it in every color of the rainbow (and they do sell it in many many colors).
I am only 5' 2" and this made-for-a-supermodel dress was way too long for me so I ended up having to take it to Anna's Designs in Springfield NJ for many alterations. After some over analyzing I had to have my Mother-In-Law had to work some more alteration magic on it to make ridiculously perfect and it was.
I am happy girl, married to the man of my dreams. I live in the Garden State (NJ) and work in the Big Apple (NYC). My hubby and I were married in May 2007, in the tropical paradise of Hawaii on the island of Kauai. PERFECT is the only word I use to describe our wedding. All of the time, sweat and tears that went into planning our wedding over 9 months, worked itself out beautifully.
In July, after we returned from our Hawaii honeymoon, we threw a somewhat traditional Chinese banquet for all our friends and family that couldn't make out to Hawaii. Planning a local affair for 170 guests was a lot more work than planning for 28 guests in Hawaii, but we had a blast.
Now we have more than 1200 pictures and priceless memories from the Hawaii ceremony and the Chinese banquet to last us a lifetime.
