Mahtab was absolutely amazing! Such a sweet, patient, and all-around lovely lady! I didn't need much done to my dress due to my WONDERFUL bridal shop but I did have Mahtab put in cups and a bustle. She did everything incredibly fast and for a very reasonable price. I went in for my first fitting on a Thursday and she had my dress complete & ready by the following Tuesday. She's extremely skilled and definitely knows her stuff when it comes to bridal gowns. She also made sure to teach us how to properly tie up my corset and put up the bustle. If you're in the LA/OC area, please see Mahtab for alterations! :)

I didn't work directly with Mercurio Brothers for our letterpress invitations but my DOC did. We trusted our DOC completely when it came to our invites and she highly recommended MB for letterpress. We got our invitations just last week and they were GORGEOUS!! Exactly what I wanted and expected. They arrived shrink-wrapped and just perfectly packaged. The thickness of their most popular Somerset paper was perfect; not too crazy thick but enough to really compliment the printing. I would definitely recommend them to any ladies looking for affordable letterpress! :)

A Timeless Occasion
On top of wedding/event coordination & planning they also provide chair covers and dresses. They're a one stop shop for A LOT of things wedding related. I ordered my dress from A Timeless Occasion back in October 2008. It arrived in March 2009 as they promised! Helen (the owner) was extremely helpful. She was very patient and let me try on as many dresses as I wanted without making me feel rushed. She offered good input on what would look good and what wouldn't on my small petite frame. She wasn't pushy and definitely acted more like a friend than a sales lady when it came to shopping for a dress. The best part about ATO is that they didn't order one size too big (as some bridal shops do). My dress fit perfectly when I tried it on. I didn't need any alterations at all. In fact, my alteration lady told me I should call ATO to specially thank them for such a great job! I am not sure if they still sell bridal/bridesmaid dress since moving to their location, BUT if they do, definitely check them out!

Chiavari Chairs 4 Rent
We knew we wanted chiavari chairs for our reception but found ourselves discouraged by the cost. These chairs on average were $8-12 in our general area. When I found out about of Chiavari Chairs 4 Rent, I was so elated. They had great pricing [flat rate per chair which included pads, setup, & delivery]!! I thought it was a little too good to be true at first but after speaking to them I felt confident enough to put down a deposit & give them a try. Sure glad I did! They were easy to work with and responsive to questions/inquiries. The chairs were gorgeous on the day of. Could't have asked for more. :)

We had our wedding [ceremony & reception] at The Langham two weeks ago. All I can say is: It was simply magical!! I couldn't have asked for more. It was the PERFECT setting for us and everything we had hoped for and more! The Langham grounds are beautiful. Their service is impeccable! The entire staff at the Langham were extremely professional, helpful, and courteous. Our especially assigned MSE coordinator was responsive, informative, and organized. If we had any questions/issues about our event, our MSE coordinator was always on top of it. The food was delicious. The bar was well-stocked and plentiful. Our cake was gorgeous and they followed our design & directions no problem. But, most importantly, we felt that the staff at the Langham truly cared about and wanted our wedding event to be amazing.

I will have to agree with previous reviewers and say this vendor was absolutely HORRIBLE!!! If I could give negative stars I would. My personal experience with this vendor mirrors the others that have posted. She was terrible at communication - did not respond to emails or phone calls. She was very unorganized and more "fluff" than anything. We retained Isabelle (the owner) for her wedding planning and coordination services back in October 2008. We booked her as our full-service wedding coordinator; and not just a DOC. She was supposed to help us find vendors, negotiate contracts, and design our event. She did not do anything as promised! By January/February 2009, we had already booked all our major vendors ourselves WITHOUT any assistance from her as promised. She never followed-up with us or checked in with us to see how our progress was. When we would contact her with questions she was always slow to respond; if at all. The final straw was when we scheduled to meet with her at her studio and she failed to show up. When we tried calling her on the afternoon of she didn't respond until the next day. We decided it was best to find another coordinator; one that we could depend on. She understood our frustration and promised to give us a refund on our deposit, which we have not yet received. It's been over 3 months now. Needless to say, we will be taking legal action against for her failure to satisfy her part of the contract.

Crowning Glory Designs
Candi is amazing!! She's such a nice and helpful lady! When I first met with her, I was very unsure of what type of veil to get. She let me try on different sample veils that she had and really explained the differences between the cuts and lengths. She provided PROs and CONs to the various veils. She was very patient and understanding throughout the whole process. I picked up my veil last Saturday and I couldn't be more pleased - It's exactly what I had imagined! It was beautiful, perfectly steamed/pressed, and ready to wear.

I first contacted ITN back in September/October 2008 during the early stages of our planning process. I had been batch emailing several PW wedding coordinators in the LA/OC area after finding out our venue required one. Amanda was the FIRST to respond! I could already tell from that first email that I would like her. She was just so sweet, so warm, and just so bubbly. Most of all, I felt like she was a friend and not just some random vendor. Unfortunately for us, hubby and I were not able to schedule an initial meeting with her for several weeks and during that time we had already met with some other coordinators. I was an eager beaver at the time [you know, the anxious and naive bride-to-be overly excited about anything wedding] and decided that we would just go with another planner/coordinator just so we could check another vendor off our list. BAD IDEA!! When things with the other planner/coordinator went horribly wrong, I immediately thought of Amanda and contacted her to see if she was still available on our date. She miraculously was! Needless to say, we booked her and NEVER looked back. It was the best decision ever. Our only regret was that we didnt book her the first time around. There is just so much to say. Amanda is simply A-mazing!! Hubby and I would not have survived the last couple of months of wedding madness without her. She is just so spirited and so good at what she does. She knows exactly what to say/what to do to make a slightly-frazzled bride feel sane again. Shes a friend, a counselor, a guide, and a confidant. I must also say that shes an extremely busy bee but somehow always, always, always manages to make you feel like youre the one-and-only couple in her life. A is not afraid of going above and beyond the standard call of duty. In addition to being our DOC, she was also our own little miss Martha Stewart. She helped us tremendously by designing and creating our cute boxed letterpress invitation suites [LOVED them, btw!]. She also created, printed, and assembled the rest of our paper goods (escort cards, menus, programs, table numbers, etc.). We were by no means a DIY couple so having her by our side was a godsend. We didnt have to spend the last few days before the wedding stressing about this because she volunteered to help just because she knew it would make everything easier and less stressful. On the big day, A and Miriam were a dream. They executed and coordinated everything perfectly. We didnt have to worry about one single thing, except to enjoy our day, because we knew A and her team were on top of it. The entire day was better than anything we could have imagined. We ate. We drank. We laughed. We danced. Of course, none of it would have been possible without the help of such an EXCELLENT DOC. We had the BEST day EVAR!! THANK YOU THANK YOU, A!!!

I contacted Paola a few weeks ago about her DOC services. She was quick to respond to all my emails, very detailed in her responses, and just an all around lovely gal. Even though we didn't end up going with her, I just know that she would have done a wonderful job. She's passionate about her job and it really shows! I loved that I got very detailed responses to my questions & inquiries. On top of that she was always good with communication (definitely a plus if you're one of those overly anxious brides like me). If you're looking for a coordinator in the LA/OC area I'd definitely recommend checking her out! :)

Giao Nguyen Makeup Artistry & Hair Design
Giao is simply WONDERFUL!! She did my makeup & hair for my best friend's wedding. The makeup was beautiful and lasted the whole day/night. I had turned into a sappy mess at the reception but my makeup was fine!! My hair was awesome, too! I have really short (barely to the shoulder) hair and we totally thought our options were limited. But, NOPE! Somehow Giao managed a really cute & pretty updo for me! She SO gave me hope about my hair for my own wedding in August ! I have to say, in addition to her amazing skill & expertise, she's also an extremely nice lady. Very professional. Very friendly. I'd definitely recommend her to any brides still looking for a MUA in the Bay Area. I believe she also travels to LA/OC as well.
