This was so much fun! I went to michaels and bought boxes, sparkle purple paper, shredded purple paper and made the box, adding a flower on the front and wrapping it in a purple bow. I went and bought large ring pops and added the message "Now its my turn to pop the question....Will you be my Bridesmaid?" It was a great way to ask the girls. I had one maid of honor and 5 bridesmaids. They all loved it!

I was extremely nervous about this process, I was self consious and did NOT want to try dresses on. What if I couldn't find something! what if I hate the dresses? What if I just settle because nothing works?.....I searched pictures for a while and saw an Allure dress online that I was interested in trying on. When I called I was told its a 2013 dress and that it wouldnt be in store til April 2013! To my luck in October Allure had a pre 2013 showing for a week and I was lucky enough to go see it. When I got there the dress had been shipped out for a photo shoot, but was told Allure had a similar one in that new 2013 line and to try it on. It was the first wedding dress I ever tried on....IT WAS THE ONE!!!!!

Dresses that I liked before dress shopping: Inspriation:

Love the work on this!

My dream dress!!! way out of my budget 10k++

Allure 2013 The dress I originally wanted to try on, later when it came back I tried it, still went with my first pick.

I always thought venue shopping and searching would be so much fun! I never thought it would be so overwhelming. we visited so many places, living in the bay area we have so many gorgeous venues. My dream venue was the Bentley Reserve in San Francisco. I had always been in love but when it came to becoming a reality it was above our budget. We visited the Bentley reserve(over priced), Hayes mansion(gorgeous outside, plain on the inside), Kohl Mansion (to small), Casa Real winery (had to end by 11pm, to early), Hyatt in Burlingame (just wasn't right),Fairemont in san jose (didnt feel personal, felt like a number), Castlewood country Club (loved it, date wasnt available) last the WESTIN SF AIRPORT, beside the fact that they had gorgeous chandeliers the event manager truly listened to what we wanted and made sure we got it all, they took care of us from begining to end! Amazing team of people to work with, advice i was giving was once you sign the contract all other deals are off but OMG not with this great team of people. They continued to give us amazing service and communication thru out the entire process.

WHAT MY HALL LOOKED LIKE!!!! Day of the wedding my vision came together better than I ever dreamed! Simon at Blooming Bouquet made my vision come to life, we pipe and drapped the entire hall, did purple uplights, ordered a white dance floor, silver Chivari chairs with white cushions. Silver chargers with white satin napkins and silver napkin ring and huge white flower centerpieces with crystals draping. Our names hitting the dance floor. Crystals drapping with the fabric behind us.

We met in April 2006 at an international party at Casbah Lounge in San Mateo, CA. The room was filled with a mostly Arab crowd and a few non Arabs. I danced with my friends and the night was turning out to be a typical fun night out. I noticed Ali for the first time out of the corner of my eye as he was dancing towards me. Even though it was Arabic music playing, he decided to try his moves on the dance floor. I couldn't help but dance with him and liked how he had no fear of dancing to Arabic music, despite not being Arab. Things moved so fast after we met, we quickly realized we lived in the same city and went to the same school. Unfortunately,  at the time we were both overwhelmed with our personal lives and decided to go our separate ways. Exactly a year later, we reconnected almost exactly to the date that we had met. Here we are five years later still going strong!!! We are here today ready to share our special day with all the people that have been there watching our relationship grow! It has truly been a journey as we have faced many obstacles and challenges getting to this point in our lives. Neither one of us ever anticipated getting thus far, but it happened and we are so thankful it did. Ali and I are truly an extraordinary partnership and we value each other so much! We are of two different backgrounds and are two totally different people in many ways, but we share the same values and the same dreams. We are so excited to turn the next chapter in our lives and good times up ahead!
