I called Ry when I got out of work letting him know that I was on my way home like I usually do and he said that he got out of work early so he was out running errands and he would pick up pizza for dinner. So I drove home and started picking up a bit before he got there. When he walked in the door he did not have the pizza in tow so I naturally asked, "Did you leave the pizza in the car?" (haha of course I'm thinking about the pizza) that's when he said that he "hopefully had something better than pizza"

He walked up to me and said that he couldn't have thought of a better place to ask me than in our house. He said that our home was something that we've been really wanting and it is something that we're going to make lots of memories in. He said that buying this house with me was a big step and a big commitment and that he was ready and wanting to make another commitment to me. He told me how much he loved me and he would want no else but me to spend the rest of his life with (meanwhile you know I'm sobbing like a baby!). He said he knew that in his heart I was the one he would want to be with forever and that he had never in his life felt for one person what he does for me. He thanked me for making him a better person and a better man and that he's been wanting to ask for a long time but was waiting for the right moment. Then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!! and OF COURSE I said "YES!"

Before I called my parents I asked Ry what he was really doing (because we all know he wasn't buying pizza!) and he said that he was really over at my parents house showing them the ring and asking if he could marry me! He said they both loved the ring and told him that he was welcome in the family from the beginning. They told him that they loved him and that he was a good guy and knew that he would take care of me. After I called my parents they said to come over and that they'd take us out for a celebration dinner and the rest is history!!

It was truly a perfect moment. We were both crying happy tears (I'm sure he won't admit that though hehe) and we just really embraced the moment. It was a very personal and indescribable feeling I had over me. I've have been with Ryan since May 15th, 2004 and I am so happy, proud and excited to say that as of October 3rd, 2008 I am engaged to the man of my dreams and the love of my life. Who knew a blind date almost 4 1/2 years ago could lead to a marriage proposal?!?! I could only hope that everyone in this lifetime has the chance to be as happy as I am right now.

Ryan and I met my Junior year of High School. He was in AZ going to college and I was finishing up my final month of my Junior year. I had a friend, Kayla, who always insisted I meet this guy named Ryan (I was actually supposed to meet him 9 months before I ever did) but I was never really interested in the whole blind date thing. Ryan was a friend of her boyfriends and she was always trying to play matchmaker with his friends and her friends. I finally agreed to meet him and she said that she'd figure out a day when he was available and one day when I was and she would set us up. Of course the day we plan to meet, I become sicker than a dog and feel like crap but I wanted to meet him anyways because after all, if he can't handle me at my worst, he doesn't deserve me at my best right?!

This was my first blind date and I was naturally nervous about it. I ended up getting together with her, her boyfriend and Ryan on May 14th, 2004 and we went to her little sisters softball game then we were going to head out to dinner. At the softball game we had so much fun laughing and talking. We were having great conversation and the night went over so well. It went over so well, we even got our own table so we could talk with just each other at dinner! The night ended with a kiss and we made plans to go to the lake the following day.

We ended up spending all of the next day together at Lake Pleasant. We had such great energy from the beginning. After a long day of jet skiing, swimming and hanging around Ryan walked me to my door (what a gentleman) and said that he didn't want to sound too foward or scare me off but he felt that something was very right with us and that he didn't want to waste any time so he asked me if I wanted to be "official" with him. Being the young and crazy girl I am (and taking into consideration I felt it too) I promptly said "yes"!

We met on May 14th, 2004, were official on May 15th, 2004 and have been inseperable since!!

Ryan was born on November 27th, 1984 in San Diego, CA. He sooned moved to the small but beautiful town of Mammoth Lakes, CA where he grew up and spent his childhood. He was raised riding motocross and doing other outdoor activities such as downhill skiing and snowboarding. After graduating from high school, he decided to give the city a try. He ended up packing his things and moving to Arizona to attend college.

I was born on October 12th, 1986. I am a born and raised "Zoni" and will never leave this place. I have always been very active in my schools and community. Some of the things I enjoy doing are going to the dunes, scrapbooking, painting and do-it-yourself projects.
