Ryan was our wedding DJ and I just can't write enough great things about him. He played exactly what we wanted and moved the entire reception along. At first, I was nervous about having to constantly check our timeline to make sure things were running smoothly, but within the first hour of the wedding, we noticed Ryan had everything under control and the two of us were able to enjoy ourselves. The two of us come from very different families (music wise), but Ryan was able to find the perfect balance of popular, classic rock, Spanish, oldies, and house music. It was awesome! He dedicated every song we asked him to dedicate, and played any guest request given (as long as it wasn't on our "do not play" list! We also noticed right away how incredibly professional Ryan was. He checked in with us a few times throughout the night, making sure we were liking the music and flow of events. He was very personable and got our wedding guests involved without being cheesy or obnoxious. We asked to do the Newlywed Game (aka Shoe Game) during the reception which he had never done before, and he put his own twist to it getting our wedding guests to participate. It was a ton of fun. Another thing is he was INCREDIBLY helpful. I'm a DIY kind of bride and didn't have a wedding coordinator so Ryan was able to catch all the little things we needed help with, but didn't even know. Originally, we had our cake cutting scheduled for an hour and a half after dinner because we were told it'd be fine. When we finalized everything with Ryan a few days before the wedding, he politely mentioned we might want to double check with our hall to make sure it'd be alright to have cake cutting so late. He even offered to call and take care of it for us. Sure enough, we were able to have the cake cutting so late and he saved us a LOT of headache the day of the wedding! What really impressed us is how super helpful he was, despite the fact we had to make quite a few changes the week of the wedding in regards to the timeline. It was wonderful working with Ryan and he really impressed the both of us, especially considering the wonderful bargain we got from him (Friday night discount). If I had to choose all over again, Ryan would be the first thing we book!

Plus Size Bridal
Well, NCB pretty much covered a lot of things I wanted to say. I was dreading dresss shopping but I've always browsed sites to get ideas of what I liked. I had bookmarked plussizebridal.com a few months ago and would go back every once in a while to see their new stock. Well, a couple weeks ago, I noticed they were having an overstock sale and I got my dream dress (an Alfred Angelo) for $199! It's normally priced anywhere from $700 to $900 (although the site's normal price for the gown was $550 so it still would've been a bargain!) I was a little hesitant to order a dress that I had never tried on, but given their amasing return policy, I figured I had nothing to lose. Well, I am SOOOOO grateful I took the chance. I absolutely LOVE the gown and I can't believe I got it for just under $200! There's a lot of beading, lace, and detail, it has a semi-cathedral train, and it's a designer brand...I couldn't get a knock off close to that price! I also ordered a garment bag for $10 as well as crinoline for $50. It turns out I didn't need the crinoline after all and I'm returning it on Monday. I already emailed the owner and he said it's no problem and I have total confidence everything will go smoothly. A couple notes I do want to add to NCB's very clear description...one, they have ALL sizes (not just plus sized dresses) on all the styles. However, I believe their return policy only applies to sizes 14 and up because it's easier for a smaller size gal to find a sample in her size and try it on before ordering. Anyway, I HIGHLY recommend plussizebridal.com and couldn't be more thrilled with my experience!
