I used Paper Mart for our favors, which we made uniquely ourselves. It was in our price range, which was the selling factor for us and how many favors we would need. We used the clear PVC boxes. They were shipped in good time. The product itself was not the best quality. Some of the boxes were scratched. Most of them were fine and usable. This is a good vendor if you are on a budget, but not if you want an up-scale look.

My sister chose Pizzaz to get her bridesmaids dresses for her wedding. As the maid of honor, I worked firsthand with the dress owner, as well as the seamstress in charge of alterations for the shop. Our experience started off well. While we were pleased with the selection, and the interaction we had with the owner (who did our fittings herself), it did not end well. It seemed that after we had paid, they no longer cared about the service they were providing. Four bridesmaids dresses were purchased, sizes suggested by the owner at our fitting. All of the dresses needed alterations of course, as can be expected. Unfortunately, our dresses, with a supposed deliver of 8 weeks, actually took 12 weeks to come in, leaving us with two weeks to get our alterations. But the owner assured us there would be no problem getting them all done in time, and would charge $10 an hour. The seamstress did one dress for the price stated, and then as she was measuring a bridesmaid for her alterations, stood up and announced she was not going to be able to do that dress or the other two, becuase it would take too long! she referred us to a woman in the area who did alterations, although she did not speak English, and charged $40 an hour! I visited the shop, and complained to the owner, and the seamstress came in to defend herself. She admitted to me and another bridesmaid, that another bridal party had lost weight, and all needed their alterations done again, and even though they did not have appointments, as we did, she needed to take care of them, because they had made a larger purchase! The owner only defended her, saying her mood was due to her being sick. So not only did she not do our alterations, but she pushed us aside to help a last minute, bigger commission party. Needless to say, we did not get our alterations done there, and actually not at all due to the lack of time we had left. We ended up using hemming tape, and doing the alterations ourselves! Thank goodness they were not too major and no one could tell.

Mary's is a disaster! I would not recommend this shop at all! The owner, Mary, is very rude and snooty. She actually asked my sister, 21, if she would need to make alterations to the dress in a few months since she must be pregnant to be getting married so young! She also yelled at the grooms mother for calling the dress a color that was wrong! My timid sister was also very upset that no one could go back with her to try the dress on, which you have to get practically naked for. Mary's reason? There are so many pins in the dressing room, they don't want to encounter a lawsuit if someone were to get hurt. The assistant Dorothy, though under the influence of Mary, was helpful, and much friendlier. The dresses are expensive, but the selection was good, if you can put up with the terrible snobby attitude of the owner.

This small bridal shop is not a place I would ever recommend for the local bride. The staff was unattentive, and preoccupied. The bridesmaids gowns I had my attendants try on were plain and very expensive. Worst of all, the alteration done on my gown was hideous. The hem was falling out and obviously torn. The bussle was done incorrectly. I had to take it to another shop.

I purchased my wedding dress at David's Bridal. While their prices are sometimes steep, I was able to find the perfect dress on clearance. Our assistant was very helpful, bringing in dresses for me to try on that were within the guidelines I had mentioned. She was very attentive to our needs. Unfortunately, their stock was not tailored to small women. I'm a size three and the selection was very limited. The other services, such as gowns for my attendants, were overpriced and did not offer as broad selection as I had desired. The website was not very helpful.

The staff at Nelson-Coleman was amazing! We purchased our wedding bands and my engagement ring here. The service was excellent. The sized my rings and it was done quickly so my hand wasn't naked too long. They gave us a great deal and are still friendly when we have a jewelry question or concern. They are great people and I would definitley recommend working with them. My brother also bought his fiance a ring there was more than happy with the results of doing business with them.

Kathie Jones was our first pick for our wedding photography. Her home studio is comfortable. She waws able to do our engagment photos along with the wedding and reception. She captured some amazing shots on our special day, including balck and white and antiqued looks. She took her time getting the pictures back to us, but once we got them, we were very pleased with the outcome

We rented our dishes and linens from Party Palace. The dishes and linens were nice. We did have to wash the dishes before returning them after the reception, which was more than a hassle. The staff was pleasant. The presentation in the store was very unbecoming. It was more like a warehouse and not inviting or impressive, which gives you an unproffesional feeling about the business.

The night of the wedding, we opted to stay in town at a hotel. The Renaissance was very classy. The staff seemed to have issues finding our reservations. We were supposed to have the honeymoon suite, but ended up with a normal room. There was nothing extra provided for our honeymoon night, which we had been told was standard. Overall it was like staying in a nice hotel, but nothing special for a wedding day.

Maria Demetriou, owner, was such a huge help with our wedding expectations. We were planning a wedding in three months and her shop was able to meet all of our needs. With Maria's help, we rented suits, for cheaper then two other area stores, and had my gown altered. She was able to find the perfect bridesmaid's gowns with the wedding only one month away and they were just what I was looking for. I was able to leave an old gown there to be consigned. The staff at Priceless Moments helped us browse through the shop for favors, invitations, and accessories like tiaras, jewelry and shoes while we visited. She offers even more services then we needed for our small wedding. I recommend her to all my newly engaged friends. Even my sister will be using her services next fall!

We decided to make our own bouquets and arrangements for the wedding. This store was a treasure! They have so many different options in their warehouse setup for unbelievable prices. I had so many comments on how my flowers looked amazing, and many thought they were real. Now I can keep them and didn't have to spend as much compared to real flowers. The selection was incredible. They also had some odds and ends that I found useful in decorating. I have used them on two occaisions and have been pleased each time.

Preston's was a nightmare right from the start. Maybe it was the saleswoman, but I have never gone back to this adorable old store since my experience. The sales associate made several rude comments about me looking too young to be getting married; and also commented on which price-range I could look at before I told her anything, assuming I wouldn't be able to afford some of them. Not only was that part terrible, but the order came in the wrong color ink and had to be remade, but only after coaxing the manager!
