My friend used Athena for her wedding and raved about how good she is. Since I was a bridesmaid, I was able to interact with her personally. Fast forward 2 years, and now I am the bride! I knew right away that I would use Athena.

I would say the quality is totally worth it. I feel so bad for the brides who spend a little less money on their hair and makeup only to not look as nice. You seriously do get what you pay for (most of the time), and I am happy I shelled out for Athena. All night people complimented me on my make up and hair. Further, I'm completely satisfied with how I look in the pictures. How you look in real life is different than how you'll look in pictures, and I'll be happy every time I look at these pictures for years to come!

She seriously is AMAZING, and I totally recommend her to any bride out there. On top of everything, she is extremely flexible of our meeting place. I loved working with Athena!

Enhanced Lighting did a fabulous job at our wedding. Megan and Crystal were great to work with in person. Megan gave some very good suggestions, and are very responsive in showing us how the color would look, even comparing between the normal uplights and LED lights.

Our reception was at Yank Sing. We had pin spot lighting for the sweetheart table and cake table and amber uplights for the pillars and the dessert bar in the back. We also had a fuschia wash for the waterfall and more fuschia uplights for the raise areas. The draping was behind the raised area only. This all made the room look warm and vibrant at the same time.

The lighting was what really gave the venue the "wow" factor. I don't think our guests know that we included the extra lighting, but they appreciated the ambiance of the place. We got compliments way after the wedding ended.

With all that said, here are the pros and cons of working with Enhanced:

Pros:
- Very responsible. Megan showed up to the venue herself to make sure that things went well. She is very conscientious to make sure that the colors and how things turned out would look exactly (or as close as humanly possible) to what the couple wanted. It's very much appreciated.
- Very flexible. She did not give us a hard time about changing venues. When we changed venues, we had to plan the decorations all over, as the venues are both very different. Megan worked with us and made it happen.
- Accommodating. On the wedding day, my husband asked to add uplights around the dessert bar. Megan did not hesitate, just told her people to add it.

Cons:
- We were waiting for pictures that never came. Although understood that they might not have it, it's nice to have pictures when they say they would provide it.

Overall: I completely recommend Enhanced Lighting for your big day!

Satra is AMAZING!

We contracted Satra to be our Day Of Coordinator for a wedding of 325 people, and were so happy we did. Our wedding was beautiful and we couldn't have done it without her. She contacted all of our vendors to confirm their arrival, was able to take over the day of with very little guidance, made sure all of our vendors were fed, double checked our timeline to see if it would work, and she set up the reception beautifully.

She is also very responsible and on top of her game. We really appreciated that she accommodated our venue changed, and increase in guestlist! We originally had about 250 guests, and somehow along the way, it went up to 325. Satra gracefully accepted it and worked with us.

There were a couple of hiccups during the wedding that were out of our control (a major one was guests arriving an hour late due to traffic). Satra was quick on her feet and made the wedding timeline work. None of the guests knew that we were forced to delay the wedding. We also caught up with everything and the rest is history.

I would recommend every bride to have a day of coordinator. The good thing about our DOC, Satra, is that she was able to work with all of our vendors. She is efficient, organized, responsive, and well connected. We found some of our other vendors through her, and it's a plus that she's worked with several of them before. Things were so much more smooth that way. For all the reasons above, we loved working with her and would totally do it again for any future events, like vowel renewals maybe??
