Over the years, Ms. Brochu has run small graphics businesses, held key positions with multi-million dollar companies that include International Paper Company, JCPenney and National Plumbing Supply (NY), has owned and operated a number of casual, micro businesses that included tutoring, daycare, renovating Victorians, interior decorating, and cake decorating. She also coached high school flag squad and drama as well as being a substitute teacher for grades K-12 in two school systems.

A long-time activist for positive change and economic development, she has been an enthusiastic supporter/volunteer/member/founder and/or administrator of numerous municipalities, groups, boards and organizations such as Business Networking International (Saratoga Chapter, NY) LFD Betterment Group, Maine Street Maine/Maine Downtown Center, the Gazebo Market, Channel 7 Public Access Station, Gazebo Concerts, Frantasia Music Festival, various spiritual centers, libraries and schools, LEAH, PC Youth Camp, Youth Sports, LF CEO, The LF VIP Program, Camp Pinnacle, The Child Safety Program, Creature Care Club, The Norlands Living History Center, The Chamber of Commerce, History Night, Apple Pumpkin Festival, Jay Memorial Project, Memorial Day and Independence Day parades and activities, Livermore Falls Bike and Walking Trail, Parks Improvement, Literacy Volunteers and Circle of Beautiful People International.
