Our cake was beautiful and tasted incredible! We did tastings at about 6 places before settling on Rosebuds. They not only had gorgeous designs, and a 15% off July discount, but also great tasting cake! We had a four tiered cake with the bottom layer being the incredible tasting Caramel Cream with marble cake, the second layer lemon cake with lemon and raspberry filling, the third layer was white cake with strawberries and whipped cream, and the top was "The Most" with marble cake. They did a great job, but the only reason I gave them 4 instead of 5 stars was because they had put purple flowers on our cake when we asked for blue. It was somewhat odd looking considering we had no purple at all in our color scheme but it was still a great cake nonetheless!

My husband purchased my birthday cake here for our wedding (I got married on my b-day) and they did an incredible job at making a two tier replica of two Tiffany & Co. boxes to go along with the theme of our wedding. The cake tasted so good and looked just as great. Both tiers on this cake was marble cake with chocolate fudge center. I highly recommend them!

Netbride saved the day! I had originally ordered my bridesmaids dresses from another website and after no confirmation or response from them for several days after my order I finally followed up with them only to find that they no longer carried Raylia dresses (even though they were displayed on their website and I was able to complete the order online). I had heard good things about netbride.com so I e-mailed them and told them my situation. Not only were they willing to speed up the order for me to make up for lost time, but they even matched the other websites' price (which was very low). The dresses showed up 3 weeks before expected and were absolutely stunning. I highly recommend them and their excellent customer service!

Uyen was wonderful and calming as our Day of Coordinator for our July 2007 wedding. She was so sweet but very firm and always came up with the questions to ask that I would have never thought of! She handled everything with professionalism (esp. considering we had a ton of little mishaps that weren't her fault and couldn't have been prevented). My only wish was that we had used some of our wasted floral budget to use to hire her for a full on wedding coordinator. I'm sure she would've done an amazing job had we been able to have more time planning with her! I highly recommend Uyen and Make It An Event!

FantaSea Yachts & Yacht Club
We had a wonderful wedding reception at the FantaSea Yacht Club! We had a Saturday evening summer reception on the very busy day 7-7-07. Our coordinator Jasmine was very good at what she does, listened to what we wanted and made sure it went according to plan whenever possible. The site itself was beautiful and was perfect for us considering we wanted a place that was air conditioned in case it was very hot, but I had always wanted to be able to dance under the stars at my wedding. To my surprise this place had a beautiful ceiling area over the dance floor that was painted like the sky and had little twinkling lights that could be illuminated! I was sold! The yacht club also had a side gazebo room that we used as a children's area that Jasmine and her team set up for us. One thing we feel we completely lucked out on was the amazing food this beautiful location offered. We got SO many compliments on the food and thoroughly enjoyed it during our tasting (unfortunately due to a stomach flu we did not get to enjoy it that day). Jasmine was such a godsend. She bustled my dress quickly before our grand entrance, made sure all of our chair covers were set up in the matter of an hour and a half before the reception, and when our cupcakes were never delivered she had her team bake some up for us. The only reason I gave them 4 stars is because I was so bummed the stars above the dance floor area (the thing I loved most about the site) never got turned on. I was so busy that night I never got the chance to find her and ask for them turned on. Overall it was a wonderful venue and I'm ready to go back and have another party there!

The Beverly Hills After Hours location was great as far as customer service goes, as well as their products. They were the only tux rental company that carried the exact shades of blue that we wanted and they were great to work with. They called us twice to verify all of the sizes and orders with us before the wedding and always made us feel welcome. We also needed to arrange to have our all of our tuxes delivered the Santa Monica location which worked out perfectly as worried as I was. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the other locations in Northern California where our groomsmen were fitted. Two days before the wedding one of our groomsmen arrived at their Concord, CA location to discover his tux was in Sacramento! They assured us they would have the tux shipped to Santa Monica to have it there the next day. My groomsman arrived and was told it was sent to Beverly Hills. After driving to Beverly Hills he was told it hadn't arrived yet. They tracked it down the night before the wedding and had it delivered finally 3 hours before our wedding back to the Santa Monica store. It was very stressful not knowing if one of our groomsmen would have anything to wear for the wedding, but thankfully it worked out after quite the wild goose chase!

Trinity is a beautiful church in Santa Monica where we held our wedding on 7-7-07. Pastor Kieth and our hostess Jeanine were such a pleasure to work with. They were more than willing to help us out with our many requests and had everyone relaxed, but in line and listening to direction at the rehearsal. I also love that we could have candles lining the aisle way and that they allowed us to do a group candle lighting ceremony that involved all of our guests. We also had a video montage that they were able to play on their two projectors that projected onto the walls on either side of the front of the church. You may also recognize the church from the movie Father of the Bride with Steve Martin! My husband and I loved Trinity so much we actually became members and were baptized there shortly before our wedding.

I booked MWB back in May of 2006 for my 2007 summer wedding based on all of the wonderful reviews on this site and others. He was great on our first meeting and we hit it off immediately. I never even had a second thought about my flowers until shortly before the wedding because I knew they were in good hands with Kerim. We had our final meeting with him 2 weeks before the wedding to confirm our plans and he let us know he would stop by our reception site that week to have a look at how he would hang our lights with his chiffon swag. I called him several times that week with no response and then twice the week of my wedding with no response. I followed up with our reception site the day before my reception and they let me know he had never come by and they also had not received a return call from him either. I finally received a call from him the morning of our wedding when he let me know his assistant was on his way but running late. From the moment his assistant arrived at my hotel (an hour late - literally 5 minutes before our pictures) the disasters began. We had planned on having crystals on my bouquet and instead of crystals I had pieces of Styrofoam in my bouquet uncovered by the crystals that were supposed to top them. Kerim later explained that the blue crystals took away from the bouquet but I wish I would've at least had the option of asking for a clear crystal instead of him making the decision for me. I also asked that he wrap the base of the flowers with a ribbon that was from my husband's grandmother's bouquet which I had given to him in our last meeting. When the bouquet arrived not only was it not tied on it, it was no where to be found for quite a while before we finally found it, taped to a bridesmaid's bouquet. Then we arrived at our ceremony site... unfortunately Kerim was not able to do the actual decorating and his assistant came instead. Not only had we given Kerim given specific instructions on what we wanted for the ceremony but pictures and color swatches as well. Although it was never admitted, according to our wedding planner, he had forgotten to bring the chiffon swag that was supposed to drape the aisle way. According to a few people at the church, they had to come up with something and all they had in the back were some very old and sad looking strips of tulle. He also forgot the blue ribbon that we wanted to tie the flower arrangements around the pews with and although I did not want pew clips he used them instead (charging $35 per pew clip) of which 5 actually ended up breaking before the ceremony. Not only that but our guests and Pastor were actually having to attach them on to our pews with twist ties shortly before we walked down the aisle! We also requested a large amount of flower petals to be placed over our aisle runner (as we weren't big fans of the aisle runner Kerim offered with the flower print on it). We ended up with very sparse petals because the "large box" of petals that he brought "had to be thrown away before the ceremony because our church wouldn't allow them to be used on the aisle runner." We later found out this did not happen at all, and our church hostess told us that he came with only a small box of rose petals and he used all of that box. Then we arrived at the reception hoping things couldn't get any worse...and to his credit...I did give him one star because our centerpieces were what we had wanted, as well as a flower arrangement at our escort card table (which we had viewed and approved a couple of months earlier). However, he also forgot to bring the chiffon to hang the 3,000 lights we had purchased (and had hand spray painted white) so he decided (on our behalf) to not hang them at all. We also discussed having a large amount of flower petals at our cake table where we found maybe 5 roses worth of flower petals scattered around. Considering they had to "throw away" 15 dozen roses worth of petals, it was a shockingly sparse arrangement of flower petals at the cake and reception tables. We never got an answer as to why the "large box of petals" couldn't have been used at the reception site after they decorated the church. What I had thought was our biggest splurge and safest bet for our wedding, ended up being my biggest disappointment and cause of stress and frustration on our wedding day. I think MWB has gotten too busy for their own good and may be scheduling more weddings than they can handle. Although Kerim is a nice guy and refunded me the cost of my bouquet, if there was one thing I wish I could go back and change about my wedding it would have been our florist. 2/2009 Response to below... The real truth of the matter was we did get in writing in our church contract that rose petals could not be used on the church's aisle runner but if we had our own (which we did get through MWB) that they were completely acceptable. We followed up with our church planner after we heard this story from MWB and we were told that the they were never asked about the rose petals, and that the florist had come with only the small box of petals and put out all they had. Our church planner even said that they thought it looked very sparse. And btw, our reception was far from perfect. Half of our decor requests were completely ignored.

On Location Beauty
Sherry and her team was amazing! They made us all look beautiful - which was no easy feat considering I was completely broken out from the stress of the wedding and went so far as to get cortisone shots the day before. My skin looked near-flawless and my hair looked great. My curls were natural looking and not crispy looking at all! She was so calm and sweet and put me at complete ease. My hair did end up falling a little flat after our pictures because of the humidity that day, as well as some strong gusts of wind attacking us all in the face during our pre-ceremony pictures but even still I was impressed with how well my hair held up. I just wish I had carried a curling iron with me that day for touch ups! My make up however looked great all day. I usually have to powder my combination skin at least 5 times in a work day and my make-up looked good from 10am until 11pm - even through dancing! I was completely impressed. I highly recommend her!!

Marlin Munoz Photographer
I agree with all of the reviews listed here. He is fantastic! By far our favorite vendor that we worked with throughout the wedding process and even more so the day of! Him and his wife Marlene are just the sweetest people you will ever meet and just as important they are both incredibly talented. You can tell they thoroughly enjoy what they do which is probably why they are so amazing at it. We first met Marlin in Oct. 2006 for our engagement sitting and he made us feel totally comfortable and at ease. Then when we got the shots back I was completely blown away at the things he was able to capture. Not just our faces but real emotion and true beauty in everything! I received our photos from our wedding yesterday and all I could say was WOW. I don't know how he did it but he brought every tiny event and emotion to life in his pictures. Seeing everyone's faces at the ceremony and reception and seeing all of the small things I missed on the day of the wedding was incredible to see in print. We had as more compliments from friends and family on our photographers than we did anything else. They are wonderful people and by the end of the night they felt like family. I highly recommend them and can only say they're worth every cent you pay and more! As I told Marlin - him and his wife are photographer GODS and I have even been trying to brainstorm other things we can have photographed just so we can work with them again! They are true gems in an industry that can sometimes be a not so nice place.
