Giving Away of the Bride:
Minister: Who gives this woman to be married to this man?
Father of the bride: Her mother and I do.

Welcome:
Minister: Friends, we are gathered here today to share with Robert and Amanda a very important moment in their lives. In the time they have been together, their love and understanding of each other has grown and matured, and now they have decided to live their lives together as husband and wife. Please bow your heads as we pray for Robert and Amanda.

Call to Prayer:
Minister: Our Father, love has been Your richest and greatest gift to the world. Love between a man and woman which matures into marriage is one of Your most beautiful types of loves. Today we celebrate that love. May Your blessing be on this wedding service. Protect, guide, and bless Robert and Amanda in their marriage. Surround them and us with Your love, now and always. Amen.

Reading #1:
   1 Corinthians 13:1-8
If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

Wedding Vows
Bride and Groom face each other

Groom: I, Robert, take you Amanda, to be my wife, my partner in life and my one true love. I will cherish our union and love you more each day than I did the day before. I will trust you and respect you, laugh with you and cry with you, loving you faithfully through good times and bad, regardless of the obstacles we may face together. I give you my hand, my heart, and my love, from this day forward for as long as we both shall live.

Bride: I, Amanda, take you Robert, to be my husband, my partner in life and my one true love. I will cherish our union and love you more each day than I did the day before. I will trust you and respect you, laugh with you and cry with you, loving you faithfully through good times and bad, regardless of the obstacles we may face together. I give you my hand, my heart, and my love, from this day forward for as long as we both shall live.

Exchanging of the Rings:
Minister: Lord, bless these rings which we bless in your name. Grant that those who wear them may always have a deep faith in each other. May they do Your will and always live together in peace, good will, and love. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Groom: Amanda, I give you this ring as a sign of my vow, and with all that I am, and all that I have, I honor you. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Bride: Robert, I give you this ring as a sign of my vow, and with all that I am, and all that I have, I honor you. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Lighting of the Unity Candle - "From This Moment" by Shania Twain and Bryan White:
Minister: The two outside candles have been lighted to represent both your lives in this moment. They are two distinct lights, each capable of going their separate ways. As you join now in marriage, there is a merging of these two lights into one light. This is what the Lord meant when He said, "On this account a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife and the two shall be one flesh." From now on your thoughts shall be for each other rather than your individual selves. Your plans shall be mutual, your joys and sorrows shall be shared alike. As you each take a candle and together light the center one, you will extinguish your own candles, thus letting the center candle represent the union of your lives into one flesh. As this one light cannot be divided, neither shall your lives be divided but a united testimony in a Christian home. May the radiance of this one light be a testimony of your unity in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Followed by presentation of roses to mothers.

The Closing Prayer:
Minister: May the love of God be above you to overshadow you, beneath you to uphold you, before you to guide you, behind you to protect you, close beside you and within you to make you able for all things, and to reward your faithfullness with the joy and peace which the world cannot give -- neither can it take away. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, to whom be glory now and evermore.

The Lord's Prayer:
Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day, our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.

The Nuptial Blessing:
Minister: The Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you. The Lord lift up the light of his continence upon you, and give you peace. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

The Kiss
Minister: Robert, you may now kiss your bride.

Presentation of the Couple:
Minsiter: It is now my privilege to introduce to you for the first time, Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Amanda Heiney

We're going to be having our Ceremony and Reception at Macungie Memorial Park in Macungie, PA. It's going to be a picnic/outdoor/garden wedding, and this park is PERFECT! I took some pictures of some of the areas we'll be using:

Venue photo 1
- entrance, hanging underneath it will be our "ceremony, reception" signs.

Venue photo 2
- ceremony location

Venue photo 3
- the minister will stand on the steps, and we will stand in front.

Venue photo 4
- looking out from the gazebo - where the chairs will be set

Venue photo 5
- the bandshell, where the DJ will be set up, dancing right in front of the stage, and introductions will take place down the center aisle of benches - white christmas lights will be hung through the trees.

Venue photo 6
- just thought this was pretty - possible photo-op?

Venue photo 7
- definitely will be getting some pictures taken here.

Venue photo 8
- one of the pavillions where guests will be seated.

=)

*This is a public park, so they're going to put signs up saying that the park is closed for a private event. That puts me at ease - I don't want random people showing up.

Our Studio Suits order was a disaster. Order from them if you wish, just please make sure the measurements are 100% accurate and you don't order "semi-baggy".

We're now going to go with tuxes from Mens Warehouse. Hopefully we can still create the look we're going for.

Their tie colors will match their lady:

Bobby - white

Josh - claret

Kevin H. - petunia

Kevin K. - tea rose

Thanks to some fellow PW brides, I've decided to do something different with my bridesmaids! I will assign a color to each girl and then they can pick out whatever dress they want! The only rule I'll have is that they all have to be from Alfred Angelo and around knee-length. So if we take out brown and white, this is how it will go:

My wonderful Maid of Honor, Nicole:
Ladies photo 1 (Alfred Angelo - Claret)

Ladies photo 2 <--ordered for Nicole =)

My amazing "sister", Denise:
Ladies photo 3 (Alfred Angelo - Petunia)
