My wedding at the Monterey Plaza was everything I wanted it to be. Sarah Ward, the coordinator, was extremely helpful and responsive throughout the entire planning process, and she was particularly accommodating since I was planning my wedding from the east coast. I had my ceremony on the lower deck, cocktail hour on the upper deck, and the reception in the Dolphins ballroom. With the ceremony on the lower deck, the bridal party all walk down the staircase during the processional, making for a really dramatic effect. We got tons of compliments on the beauty of the setting (and even the seals barking in the background!). I had been a little concerned about the proximity of the outdoor restaurant seating to the ceremony area, but they cabined off the restaurant with some white lattice stands and that worked perfectly. We also had my brother sing a song during the ceremony, and they were happy to setup a microphone and a stool for him to sit on off to the side of where the bridal party stood. All in all, I would recommend the Plaza in a heartbeat.
