Our wish tree (don't have a full pic.) and our wish tree note which should have said Wish Tree but it was too late for calligrapher to redo.
Awww my MOH did a fabulous job putting my bridal shower together at her house. The weather was perfect and the setting was beautiful - Thank You MOH!!!
My silly Bride To Be tiara - I thought it was the cutest thing... after I ironed it down. =)
Although this was the second thing booked early on in the planning stages it was the one thing we changed soooo many times! First we found a baker we loved (Jen's cakes of Willow Glen). Her cakes were not only beautiful but in taste hers were the best, bar none! With so many ideas out there we changed our minds so many times. One of the reasons was because our facility charges a $3 cake cutting fee, yes $3!!. Because of that we looked into doing petit fours and cup cakes which are super cute and non traditional. Well we decided to ax the cupcake idea and then found out that if we went with the petit fours we would still get charged a fee. Even if they didn't actually cut it, we'd still get charged for the serving of them... ok, whatever! LOL!! Anyway we said the heck with all this and we decide to do a cake. We picked one out, a really simple one with swiss dots and signed the contract. We thought that was marked off the checklist... well here we are three weeks away and we totally change the whole design. I have to give credit to FI for this because it was him not letting up on one of the ideas we saw originally that ended up being the final choice AND I love it!!! This is it, this is the one, the one I saw on the magazine cover of The Knots best of 2008. That was the whole reason I bought the mag in the first place, but after all the magazines I had accumulated over time I had paid no mind to it anymore. But so glad the FI did... =)
It will be the knot design and a combo of the other cake in reference to color. Jen will incorporate the design from our invites in the light and dark of our wedding color palette.
::Update:: Actual cake - It was just like we wanted it! Tasted so yummy and looked perfect. Only thing was the strip was supposed to be a chocolate brown and it looked to be more black than brown... other than that I loved it!
